You can get a small discount on the Macan 4 in the US. People here really want the 4S or Turbo and a lot of California dealerships had extra 4 allocations.
I would kill for that charging curve on my Rivian. I'm lucky to get a minute above 140 kw even at sub 10% charge. Between a poor charging curve and insane inefficiency, this thing is a nightmare to charge.
@daveo4EV I'm refreshing this thread so often you could probably get a restraining order.
Really interested in how your experience goes! Hoping it's amazing.
You could get a tiny discount on a 4 in SoCal. Maybe 1.5 or 2%. No discounts anywhere on a Turbo or 4S. Do not pay anything above MSRP.
Plenty of people still haven't received their cars because of the software issues, so it's certainly not worked out yet. I'd also advise a Porsche EV is...
as @tmrqs says, all EVs have had their slew of issues. With that said, an Electric Macan would be very, very low on my list if reliability was a prominent concern of mine.
The Taycan has been a nightmare since day one. Tons of recalls, constant 12v and main battery issues, bricked cars all over...
If you're buying a Macan because you're hoping for improved reliability... oh boy. The iX has had some lemons, as all EVs have, but it's miles ahead of the Taycan and early returns on the Macan.
I get it feels especially bad when you're the one that gets the lemon, but there isn't an EV on the...
It's definitely a concern. I'm glad I canceled my initial order and have a couple months for my 4S to show up, as I'm strongly considering an iX instead.
It's worth noting it's not just the Macan, the Taycan has had countless issues since launch. Look at the list of recalls! You also will find...
I'm not sure a world exists where German cars aren't significantly more expensive 6 months from now. Elon Musk will certainly make sure of that. Whether it's through tariffs or other means, prices are going up.
It's going to be bleak. Import cars being more expensive means US cars will be, too.
It's easy enough to look at countries that have high import dues currently and see how expensive Porsches are there.
Given that Elon Musk is now effectively VP you can expect any competition of Tesla to be...
People still buy Mercedes?
You should buy a BMW iX before you buy an EQE. The iX is a similar comparison but a far better car and there are amazing lease deals (check leasehackr).
If you're looking for something more comfort oriented with more space, the iX is the way to go.
To pay off early is just the residual as agreed at lease start plus all remaining payments minus all remaining financing charges. Residual depnds on lease terms, usually between 48% and 64% for Porsche.
So say a 24 month lease on a 100k car with 60% residual. You'd pay 23 x (monthly...
