Car was AC charging on my Tesla wall connector (with J1772 adapter) and blew the breaker on our home fuse box. After unplugging and attempting to start the car, saw a big red "electrical system error" message and the car would not go into gear.

Any advice for resolving this on my own? I have had the car for less than a week. We've charged our Rivian with the same adapter/wallbox without issues for the last year+.

Your EVSE shouldn’t be able to blow a fuse if it is configured correctly to live within the limits of the electrical system.

Which adapter were you using? Did the fuse blow immediately after starting the charging?
Lectron Tesla to J1772 EV Adapter | 250V | 48 Amp. No, the fuse blew about an hour into charging.

I reboot the car (hold down volume button for 30 seconds). This has worked 3-4 times so far.

While you work through resetting the red circle error, double check the breaker rating for the line that supplies your charger it should be a 60A breaker. Are there any other loads connected to that breaker?
