I'm having the same issue with Plug & Charge..... "Could not be activated. Please try again." There is an error on the iOS Porsche app version NEW APP version 15.25.14 build 397, which still has not fixed the issue. Also, please don't waste time resetting the car to the factory default, as it does not fix the issue.

Here in the US, Plug & Charge worked great when it was working the first few months of the year. I talked to the Service Center, and they told me they have had so many issues with EA, that they stopped telling people about the plug & charge.

I have not tried to charge the car at EA; I will try later this week. Last time, when I could not get charging to work at EA, I had to use their app to PAY and charge the car. Calling an EA customer after the fact to get a credit was useless.

If you get stuck at an EA charging station and can't get the car to charge with the My Porsche app, call EA customer service and tell them you have a subscription and the last five digits of your VIN. They should be able to initiate the charge for you.

Hopefully, a future app version will fix this, or we can wait to switch to Tesla Charger stations later in the year.

I haven’t had any issues with Plug & Charge at Electrify America except once when authenticating repeatedly timed out. I could have used a credit card and paid for the session, but I didn’t really need to charge yet so I left.

I came back to the same charging station the next day and everything worked as usual.

Hmm. I just got my car, and I see this issue, so I can’t get the certificate. Does that mean I can’t charge at EA? Or does it only mean I am missing out on the convenience of the plug & charge, but can still manually start a charge with my subscription?

The dealer can't fix the certificate issue for you?

In the past you just lost the convenience, but dunno how this latest error will affect that.

You are just losing out the converse to plug in & charge at EA without opening the My Porsche app to start your charge session.
However if you are unable to enable plug & charge settings on the car follow this video. Note it takes a long time to install the certificate , make sure you have 5G on the car cellular service too.

Plug & Charge error message not fixed by today’s My Porsche app update (v15.25.16 build 400).
I have downloaded that latest version of the iOS app (v15.25.16 build 400), but the error message is still there.

However, I did successfully Plug and Charge at an EA station this afternoon. I did not think to check if I could see the progress of the session on my phone, because I was sitting in my car while I took a work call.

Plug & Charge error message finally gone this morning! When you click on the settings icon (right upper corner) while on the Charging function you can see that the Plug & Charge button is now on and Porsche Charging Service is now available underneath and it’s showing an ā€œInstalled certificateā€ in green! Yeah! 😊
