App center has no connectivity, despite data plan

Picked up my new Macan 4 on Tuesday and loving it. However, despite a data plan being in place and all connect services activated (validated in the car and the My Porsche app)., I can't get any apps to work.

I had to download apps to the car using WiFi from a tethered phone, but once that's turned off, the apps can't get a data connection.

Spotify, Accuweather, the App Center etc all say no data connection, retry later.

I've tried rebooting the PCM, removing myself from the car etc.

Navigation maps work, and I can see the car in the My Porsche app.

Any ideas?

The top left of the screen shows a 4G connection, with a blue and green dot below it.

I’m sure you have checked - in My Porsche, Functions, Data Pass - does it confirm you have 5gb available ? The Sat nav live data etc don’t use the Data Pass so the fact they're working doesn’t mean your getting access to the data pass

I have the same issue, downloaded apps only work when I am connected to my home WiFi, but this only started six months after I got my Macan 4. Everything worked fine before. Reported it to Porsche Customer Support on May 10. Received a response on May 20, that the Data Pass had been "successfully activated" but this did not resolve the issue. On May 30, I was told that Porsche is still working on resolving.

This happened to me briefly the first week I had the car. I had to do a factory reset to get plug & charge working, and after that, the App Store wouldn't connect. I think I just had to log out of my Porsche account in the car, let it sit overnight, and then log back in the following morning.

Haven't had any issues since, although honestly I don't use the car's cellular data very much.

That problem is exactly what happened to me: all the Data Pass services were apparently working, but there was no data. The guy at Porsche advised me to do a factory reset, but instead I called the phone company directly, in my case, Vodafone... and voilĂ , the problem was solved in 5 minutes.
They told me they would reset my account.
