I haven't seen it posted so I assume this issue is unique to me, but is anyone else having issue with the built-in data pass working? Initially the activiation was pending, so a call to PCNA and that was resolved, at least on the website as it now shows active. Car shows 5G on the center display, so it would seem like it has connection.

However, nothing in my car works. I have the hotspot active, but it does not have internet. I cannot enter the app store to download anything unless connected to my home wi-fi. PCNA did not seem to have any idea but had me do a vehicle reset, no help other than erasing ALL the settings again.

My app shows neither plug & charge nor data pass as active, both are red. Although plug & charge does show a valid certificate installed when I check charging settings.

Frustrating to continue to have these glitches. I get it, driver's car not tech car...but at some point things become unexcusable if the car is released to the general public.

I have the exact same behavior but I didn’t yet activate the data pass…

Same problem. I’ve had the car 2 months and PCNA can’t solve it. It’s my only problem with car and mildly frustrating, but not the end of the world. But….it worries me that they can’t fix it.

Good (sort of), so it is not just my car… not sure it makes me feel great about the situation but maybe better that it isn’t isolated to my car.

PCNA told that it was caused by my signing up for the premium pass before I received the car. Not sure why it would make a difference. Curious if you did the same?

Great question…I honestly don’t recall what all I signed up for early, but did enroll before taking delivery as I had the car on the app. I for sure signed up for whatever was available at the time, connect and what I remembered as just the basic data pass service. It would be odd if that was the reason but suppose I could see how that might make sense.

Please update me if you find a resolution so I can push the issue with mine. As the car sits, I cannot use any of the apps unless connected to wifi.

Signed up BEFORE the delivery (the day before) but it worked since then. Sorry you have this kind of problem that, yes it's minor problem, but you're paying for a service that you can't use. I would ask to your SA something for the problem you are having (having a smartphone to be used as hotspot is not mandatory in any of the sales doc we have all signed ;) )

In addiction, I would try a complete reset BUT as me you are scared to mess up something else (I have the Plug and Charge greyed out but it works perfectly with the app or the key fob with RF ID) I would think about it twice or more...

Tried hard and soft resets, including “force stop” of the app. No success in my case.

FYI - PCNA just called as they said they would and have successfully fixed my issue. They had to reprovision (or request something with Verizon) to bascially reset the connection. The support agent I spoke with, I believe his name was Nathan, stated to call PCNA if you are having any issues and they would be happy to check/resolve. To be honest, while frustrating initially, this has been a pretty good experience with actual results (not what I was expecting when it all started).

I’ll give it a try. Supposedly my SA has been in touch with PCNA, but I’m willing to try anything.

In my Macan, plug & charge is greyed out, so it's not active.
A couple of days ago the dealer did a factory reset, still no joy.
Today, he told me that after speaking with Porsche Head office, they have suggested raising a technical case with Germany.
Other than this, all is good.
