Apps availability limited in 🇨🇦

If anyone ever tried to download apps onto their PCM you’d know that they’re all pretty much useless. I got the passenger screen because I thought the passenger could watch tv shows or movies on Netflix or some other streaming service, but that was not the case. Does anyone know the reason why Teslas allows apps like Plex to be used in their vehicles and yet Porsche only has YouTube? Is there a way to send Porsche requests to allow or add streaming apps on their vehicles? Is this the case in the US as well?

I just tried using the Vivaldi browser to stream on Netflix, prime video, and Disney+ but all of them stops playing video and gives me an error code of E100, 83, or video stopped playing. The preview that auto plays works, but once you press play on any video, it gives an error code. Apparently none of these services supports Vivaldi automotive browser. Sucks how Teslas at least supports Netflix when the car is parked. Porsche’s claims that they want to focus on safety and avoid distractions, but why can’t they allow it only when the car is parked like Tesla does. That is not a safety or driver distraction concern.

It’s ridiculous but true. Even though Disney+ is listed on Vivaldi's streaming folder and you can login, it doesn’t play. I suspect the same applies to Hulu although I couldn’t check since I’m no longer subscribed. However, I was able to play movies and shows on Max

Same error code for me too, as I have the passenger screen and thought there would be more content to view. I wondered if this could be accessed through ScreenHits TV, as promoted by Porsche, but think this is for other Porsche models.
Here in the UK, I have accessed BBC I Player, through the Vivaldi browser - but there is no easy PCM shortcut, or app button to add.

I can play videos from my Plex server. I guess that’s at least something. But I think the original Vivaldi browser can play Disney+ but the automotive version cannot. I guess they’re two different versions on different OS, maybe that’s why.

EU owners have more useable apps than in North America. Most of the apps on my car are pretty useless as they’re more prevalent in the EU. As an example, the EV charging stations, only lists EU stations.

Anyway for us to sideload those android apps like download the APK from the browser and install from there?
