Best Bose sound system settings?

My Macan arrives soon and has the Bose sound system. For those who have Bose, what settings are you using for best results?

For those who think Bose is crap, you may be right, but that’s what I ordered - please focus this thread on getting the most out of the Bose.

I have the Bose on my 4S. I like it but I'm not an audiophile so what do I know? To answer your question, I put it on Surround. That's what my delivery advisor told me to keep it on. I've tried the other settings and they sound odd for one reason or another.

There are very few settings (no equaliser adjustment) so surround, bass and treble.

I don't have a Macan EV but familiar with Bose and have it in my 911.

The bass and treble will very much be to personal choice and the media source if not direct from the PCM will impact also.

The Bose implementation in the Macan EV is not what it should be to justify the price premium over the standard Sound Plus and sounds quite "muddy". That's my experience on 2 extended Macan EV test drives and highlighted to dealer.

I have Sound Plus in my Macan ICE which to my ears sounds better.

If using streaming from a mobile device check that the sound settings aren't being equalised in some way and that you are using lossless audio.

I suggest leaving "surround" on and move the sound bias between the two front seats. Especially if you have no rear passengers or they don't want to listen to the sound anyway. That improved the quality a lot for me.

Whilst I’ve loved Bose in prior Porsche vehicles of the years, I join those who find it less than expected.

I join all those not wishing to blow $s on the next level up as cost is not justifiable.

Re settings I find it depends on type of music and era.

Examples:
- I agree Sorround works well for most and certainly more recent era music
- Personal preference from trying alternatives has resulted in selecting Stereo when I listen to music from famous bands and singers of “Oldies” like 70s, 80s, 90s.
- In all settings i trend to have Bass at max setting (+9?) and Treble (+5?)

Also moving center to between front seats helps altjoigh I’m fine with center placed in the middle point of the carbin left to right and front to back. That is ideal with sourround of course.

I agree on the surround option. Having come from a gas powered Macan with Bose, the Bose in my 4S is really disappointing.

Besides as I said I am not any pro YouTube guy..I just did it for fun and to give an idea of this sound system.
