I’ve experienced the issue with no sound from the Bose speakers in my MY25 Macan 4S twice in the past two weeks and about 6 times in the past three months, despite getting the software update on January 2nd.

I’ve also had two “assistance systems limited” warnings and two “doors will not automatically lock” errors this year.

All of these seem to resolve themselves after locking the car and returning 15 minutes later but it’s still very annoying.

Im going in at the end of the month. They original wanted to replace the PCM, but I guess porsche said to replace the amplififier for my sound issues. I have had recently where one side of the stereo doesn't have audio. but more often it's been this other odd condition:
1) where, parking sensor noises, voice recognition, voice navigation prompts and systems sounds, and even blue tooth phone calls all work (I don't use car play btw)
2) BUT at the same time, Bluetooth audio, AM/FM, XM, all DO NOT work.

I had them scan the car while in this fault condition and there was not a single code in the car.

hope the amplifier replacement at the end of the month resolves the issues. I have had all the other updates including the latest SQ4 update (may 25 2026 release date) applied. Problems have been less often, but this audio issue still happens.

I’m afraid that it’s not the solution. On my car they’ve already changed the pcm and the amplifier. My solution when it happened was detaching the amplifier and then it worked again. Now I read here that disconnecting the woofer is also a solution so I think that the problem is the subwoofer. On my car they’ve already problem (no music) always starts when I’ve stopped somewhere for a short time and want to leave. Never while driving and always on all speakers.

I sometimes get an “assistance systems limited” warning and/or no sound (Bose/music, silent blinkers) whenever I use InnoDrive. Resolves after locking the car a waiting a moment until the computer/system turns off. I’m not a system engineer but based on my experience with computers, it makes me wonder whether the computer processor gets overwhelmed or there isn’t enough RAM, if that sort of thing is applicable to vehicles. If so, you would think that it was something that was preventable by using the appropriate hardware… At least, I’m glad the vehicle is still drivable when those computer glitches happen!

I was hopefuly this would be the fix... The car goes in friday for this work - they seem to want to go through these process and to get to the next step I have to play along...

Have you done the udpates, all the way up to SQ4 (may 28 2026) - I have had a massive improvement when they redid the updates in March (I think it was) to the updates I had done early Dec/late nov - documents show that improper updates were very common.

Since I got the SQ4 update at the start of June, the system has been very close to problem free for me (minus the stereo sound). If you have not had the SQ4 updates done, I would push for those and see if also helps you. If they are already done - not sure what would be next for you.

Appreciate your advice. I have not. I’m holding off until my first scheduled service in July 2027. The glitches are sporadic and resolve after locking the car and waiting a moment until the system is off. Otherwise, I haven’t had any serious problems and really enjoy driving my car.

I don't have the patience to wait that long for these updates... I drive this car a ton (about 20,000km in 8 months, and about 1.5 months of that it was in the shop while they figured out what to do (I had a loaner and did around 8k on it... this much time in the car, I need it to drama free. Honestly feels great now that all the same errors you reported seem to be resolved in my car. I don't think it would take more than 2 days max, probably only one day now that they have some experience doing it.

With that said, if you were planning on waiting anyway until 2027 - I'd wait until at least the on-board charger software gets fixed (I am currently running a downgraded version so home charging works). No pressure, just wanted to share that it was a quality-of-life improvement for me when I stopped getting all those errors... But you are definitely more patient than me :)

I’m not very patient in that respect. I’m an early adopter of technology. I usually download the latest software versions as soon as they are available and also like to try the beta versions. I tend to do the same with cars. I don’t drive as much as you. I have put about 9000 km since February 2025. I considered getting the update, but held off because of the reported issues with AC charging. Granted that it’s only affecting a very small number of cars. But, it would be very inconvenient if it happened to me. So, I decided to let others be the beta testers this time. I’m hopeful that by the time my scheduled service is due the software update will be glitches free and the Porsche technicians will have become very familiar with the update process. I’m sorry for the owners that are having serious problems and hope they get them resolved. Mine are minor and infrequent. I really like my 4S and enjoy driving it every time!

Understood!
And BTW; I enjoy driving it also btw - only regret is not waiting a few months for the MY26 - I would have loved to have digital key - I have about 2.5 years left on the lease, and I'm going to have crazy KM's on it by the end, so probably not keeping it - currently a very strong possibility when the lease is up that I will lean into a Turbo next time. Its a very enjoyable car even with the quirks.
