I'm trying to persuade my 2024 Macan 4 EV to set its max state of charge to 40% or 45% while I am away from it (and it is plugged into a Level 2 charger), but the phone app and the car's PCM display won't let me set the max charge lower than 50%. I could have sworn this worked before. Does anyone else see this behavior?

If Porsche says to leave it at 50% when you go away, then there must be a good reason for it.
Should you really want to leave it below that, then drive around a few miles with heating and/or AC at full blast, before going away ;)

40% or 50% ... it doesn't really matter. I'm trying to figure out if I lost functionality or I never had it.

I selected 40% because the car is currently at 44% and I didn't want it to waste electricity charging it.

Kyle@OutdOfSpec leaves his EV’s routinely charged at 30-50%, increasing that level if he is taking a trip in one soon.

To reiterate, my Macan 4 EV will not take a command through the PCM or the app to set the charge limit below 50%. I'm wondering if others have the same experience.

I will leave the car plugged into a Level 2 charger while I'm away from it, as Porsche recommends. But I would set the charge limit to 40% if it were an option. Right now, it's set to 50% because the car won't successfully accept a setting for max state of charge less than 50%.

Says unable to send charge rate to vehicle if I try 45%. But why would you want to? 50% is the state in which your battery has the least amount of stress, that's probably why Porsche doesn't let you go below 50%. If you're going away for a long time, 50% plugged in is going to be the ideal rate.
