Car goes in goodbye mode when I enter

I’m curious if anyone else has experienced this. Occasionally, when I enter my car, the goodbye screen pops up and the car goes into goodbye/leaving mode. It’s happened about five times now, so it’s not just a one-off issue. I also noticed it happened to a YouTuber.

I have comfort entry, and in the manual, it clearly states in bold letters, “DO NOT TOUCH THE EASY ENTRY BUTTON ON THE HANDLE WHEN ENTERING.” ? Now, I’m not sure if I’m accidentally touching the button without realizing it, but it’s getting pretty frustrating!

I just leave and it shuts down fine. But sometimes when I enter it start and then says goodbye and I need to press the power button to revert that.

After I test drove the Macan 4, at stopping, the SA told me to press the power button off.
So, it might have something to do with it.
Try doing that every time and see how it goes.

yea, thta's why i was asking. See i f the behavoir is any different if you power it off before exiting...
i'm not saying that's the solution, but if the behavior is different, that's the kind of info the engineers would need to know.

The only thing I can imagine causing this is that the car is not sensing your key once you’re sitting. Where do you keep your key?

I just leave and it shuts down fine. But sometimes when I enter it start and then says goodbye and I need to press the power button to revert that.

yes shuts down is normal but you block the doors too?

Keys with me. Not blocking the door. Might be accidentally touching that comfort entry button on the door handle. Will check and report back. Most likely a software bug.

I had this issue when I test a demo Macan, parked the car in my garage without turning it off, simply pressed the P left the car open (closing the doors without blocking them), once back i opened the door pressed the start and Macan said Goodbye... differed when you get back and put on D or R.....

With the key in my pocket I never press the start button (and I don’t press it when I get off neither). I don’t have confort access or whatever. Click the remote to open, get inside and put the car in D.

It must be a remote access bug. I'll check with dealership this week as my issues piled up.

Wait a minute. I am not sure if what i am about to say is correct. However I think the good by prompt might be triggered by seat belt and goes normally in when I unbuckle. It happened once when I went in and might be either the button on the handle that is mentioned here which I don’t even know it existed till now ? or seat belt triggered. Anyways when it come up just press the x on the upper left corner of the prompt why do you need to start the car
