Hi, I have a macan ev 4s with 6000km, PASM, 20inch wheels and 4 wheel steering
While I was doing a parking maneuver with around 10km/h, I accidentally hit at the curb with the right front wheel. I heard a loud metallic noise from that wheel.
At that time the car had just 1400km
I thought I damaged the rims but actually nothing happened, not even a scratch.
That specific week I stepped on a screw and right front tyre was damaged so I changed only that (I am repeating only 1400km)
When I went in the highway after couple months at around 4000km the car starting pulling at the right direction (I did not notice it while driving at the city)
In order to keep it straight I should have the steering wheel at 2degrees left
First visit at the dealership they told me that right front tyre had 5mm of tread while front left 4mm and that was the problem, that I changed only one tyre.
Second visit they told me that they had to do wheel alignment, which they did. They found differences both front and back!! (I have also rear wheel steering) and they fixed...
Of course it was not fixed
Third visit they tried again wheel alignment and told me that something must be faulty.
Their decision is first to change the two front right control arms because most probably they are bent (and they blame this parking maneuver, I told them that I did that to help on the diagnosis)
If the problem persists they will go deeper to the subframe(????!!!!!!)
Can this actually happen to such an expensive car so easily? Of course they told me that is out of guarantee.
Anyone had same experience?
thank you
