CPO inventory piling up at dealers? any idea why?

Hello Fellow Macan EV Owners -

I've been looking to add a Macan EV to my fleet in the past year but i am looking for a good deal like i found on my Taycans,
Recently it looks like many dealers around here in California (122 is the current total in the US) have a pretty substantial inventory of CPO Mancans with 500-3000 miles on them, i can only guess that these are some kind of a return or a buy back that Porsche did, has anyone here purchsed one of these CPOs and can recommend his car is problem free?
Has anyone returned his newly bought/leased Macan and found his car listed at the dealer as CPO and cares to share some details?

Some may be previous demos, but I can share that my original Macan EV was purchased back by Porsche because the warranty issues took moths to resolve. They did eventually fix the vehicle and it seemed great (I was asked to pick it up from dealer while waiting for buyback to complete). My new Macan 4 EV and the courtesy Macan EV that I drove briefly have both been flawless.

Oh thank You! That is not helpful as there are several in that area. Why don't you post a link to this inventory of 10 Macan? (which is nearly 10% of all CPO´s in the US) I am sure the dealer would be grateful as well as all the others here looking for a "bargain"...

My wife and I bought a launch Turbo from an excellent Porsche dealership (Porsche West Broward). They had it priced at $25,000 below its $129,260 MSRP — with 1,538 miles. It was a CPO vehicle. “True good to be true” is what I was thinking, e.g what’s wrong with it? So I asked them to make a 10 minute slow motion video of it, inside and out, concentrating on the wheels and the four corners, and it showed it was just what we wanted. When it arrived after its enclosed 3,270 mile diagonal cross country, enclosed transport, it was exactly in the excellent condition the video showed. This vehicle was originally put into service at Porsche’s Atlanta Corporate office on August 6, 2024. driven by an exec until he had to turn it in to get his replacement 2025 demonstrator. We would do this again for it was a true bargain at $104,995 even with its $7,400 vis CF wheels, RWS, HUD, etc. True we had some software issues that showed up after its arrival, but our excellent local dealership Porsche Beaverton, fixed them — giving us a 2025 Cayenne loaner. My wife and I are loving it. It’s our first Porsche but when its lease it over, another leased Macan EV will be next.

5 alive done the offfical certification and the other 5 are used and not certified, you can see that if you use the filters correctly.

This seems to be happening at a lot of dealerships - where are all these coming from? This is hundreds of Macan EV's and they weren't all demos assigned to Porsche executives.

They are likely service loaners. I believe, however, I could be completely wrong, that here in the US Porsche compels its dealers to take on cars that might not necessarily sell well in that market. I live in the south eastern portion of the US, and it is certainly not a hot bed of EV ownership, other than Teslas.

Once the service loaners get between 2500 and 5000 miles on them, they are ready to be sold, either from that dealership, or they will go to the Porsche auction where other dealers who are having better luck at selling EVS will buy them for their dealerships.

Todays number is 11 in that dealer and the total CPO nationwide is 155 despite what i assume is that they sale few over time.
Anyone else recently bought a CPO and is willing the share the experience?

Summarizing my detailed previous posts, my 1,538 mile turbo CPO was purchased in outstanding condition for West Broward Porsche (FL) at literally $24K under list. For a Porsche!!! They were 1000% honest and forthright. True I have had a few software issues since but so have some who custom ordered and waited for their new one to arrive. Of course the downside with buying any vehicle that was pre-owned is that you end up purchasing some options you did not want and missing out on some you would have ordered. But now with the 3.6% tariff increase and no waiting, there are upsides too. So if you find one that is close to what you would have ordered, and/or get a price break, and/or need one now….

My CPO experience itself was excellent (bought it cross country and did not see it until it arrived on my street by brokered transporter). Excellent/honest dealership!!!

Another fan fact i found is that same Santa Clara dealer has a lot of 6(!!) of a 24 Macan EV 4 in Gentian blue on a launch spec with 102890 MSRP, the spec is really nice with the exception of the wheels.
