I'm finalizing my order for the Macan EV Turbo. My dealer is giving me a $13,000.00 discount PLUS the $7,500.00 rebate if I lease it for a grand total of $20,500.00 off the price of the car. Is this a good deal? If not, how much more of a discount should I push for? Is it wise to do a 24 month lease to get the rebate and then just pay it off at the end of the lease or would I come out better purchasing it up front and just not getting the $7,500.00 rebate?

I am quite shocked that you are getting a discount at all, I would take it as offered. Turbo’s are rare, allocations scarce, not getting any discount on my 4S that is on order. What region/dealer?

13k off a Macan Turbo? That doesn't make sense. If they're offering you 13k off a lease they're jacking the money factor through the roof.

Whats the monthly payment? I can write a lease that shows $13k off MSRP and an absurdly monthly payment.

It is not scheduled to be built in March, build locks January 10.

Care to share the details as well?

I’ve posted extensively here and on Rennlist about leases vs purchases and have several sheets to compare options.

Very curious to know what the catch is.

I do not know that there is a catch other than the massive down payment. I'm paying $25k down and payment is $1028 per month for 24 months. I also shopped the Porsche "one pay" options. Doing the one pay saves a couple of grand but that is just too much cash to part with all at once. I'm just going to make sure I insure the gap and I think I'm going to be good with the deal insofar as others seem to be implying they are not getting any significant discounts on their Turbos. Assuming the values have not tanked, I'm going to buy it at the end of the lease. If, on the other hand, the resale values are as horrendous as some speculate then I can just walk away from the car at the end of the lease if that turns out to be true. The $7,500.00 rebate is just too good to pass up so I'm forced to lease it.

I want to be clear, also, that I've bought multiple Porsches from my dealer over the years and have a good relationship with them, so I highly doubt they would sell the same car to someone "from the street" with the same discount.

Alright, @nick776 would you mind sharing:
- the MSRP
- the price of the car with the discount applied
- the sales taxes for your area on that amount
- the residual of the car at the end of the period

If you also happen to know the money factor, that would be interesting.

MSRP is $126,985 less $13k discount (referred to on my sheet at "total dealer savings") comes to $113,985 which is the selling price. I do not have the MF and residual, only a sheet that shows the term, down payment and monthly payment. The sheet does show a "rebate" of $7,500.00 though which brings the "final sales price" to $106,485.00 (shown as "adjusted cap cost" on the sheet"). My dealer told me the payment could actually end up being less, and likely WILL be less because the MF and residual will hopefully get better between now and March. Again, I understand this is an atypical deal and only posted to get a barometer of just how good it might be. I know my same dealer won't be dolling out the cars to other people for the same price but was curious if others who have good relationships with dealers were getting comparable deals. The dealer is not in my home town, though. I was told that the dealer in my home town has sold a total of 5 Turbos at full MSRP.

My build code is: PSSFTX44. Is that what you are asking?

If you divide $25k by 24 months, it’s another $1k per month.
Total of $2k/months lease sounds about as good as any other shared. No?

yea...this is really hard to believe... when no one, anywhere, domestic or foreign, has been able to even get $5k off...

I will say that another dealer in Alabama gave me $5k off "out of the gate." So you should likely check dealers in the Birmingham area ;)

Yes, it is. It's basically the same. However, my numbers are not "locked" and won't be until delivery. I am certain they will be lower in 4 months.
