Ha, yeah good tax benefits for business users, but unfortunately I'm a private buyer (in the UK obviously).... Taycan was quite dreadful, like so many EV's they are apparently 'disposable' so value falls off a cliff.

On top of the latest round of political announcements, it drives more and more confusion/fear.

Buy, enjoy and in your head just write it off in 5 years completely. You also have the benefit of a smooth sporty drive everyday and if you are lucky and have solar panels it’s also like half of the ā€œPetrolā€ costs compared to a ICE equivalent. (Don’t compare it to a cheap France one of course. Appels with appels. 400bhp ICE).

52k will be trade in price rather than sale price, and that was probably the US equivalent of webuyanycar.com?!

e.g. Mine was 88k but trade in is 67k - 12 months old, 13k miles, 24% loss.

Also consider almost all new EV's in the UK are business buyers not Private (dealer said 95% business, 5% private), so depreciation is written off against corp tax and you get 1st year corp tax incentive to buy the car, which further leads to reduced personal tax. So it snowballs into a 50% discount essentially. 21k loss is more like 11k to me personally - much more palatable.
I made the mistake of buying Lexus’s new EV - RZ450e. It was one of the earliest in the UK in June 23. It was a good car but very poor EV. I sold in Jan this year at 20 months old and it had melted to a RV of 55%. Resigned to not changing car for a few years yet !

Once i got to the 360 and wiper part, i just turned it off...
Unfortunately, I suffered through it and agree with most if not all of the comments posted here. Clearly they had something bothering them about the brand or the car probably driven by the price. I love the ā€˜null set’ comment since thatā€˜s my perspective as well. I’ve mentioned in other posts that the BMW looks like it may be a winner but all we have so far is the hype. There is no question in my mind that as of now, I’m likely to get another Macan 4S when my lease is up in early 28. The only other one that would tempt me would be the new Cayenne … if I can find a way to afford spending that much on a car. FYI.. I don’t remember them mentioning the one large irritation about the car: no significant OTA updates. That, in my mind is where BMW is likely to win as a true Software Defined Car... and something that Porsche still doesn’t seem to be able to pull off. Maybe with Rivian’s help…soon??? please…

I think they have many points.
Its not what you offer but at what price.
I wouldn't have a problem with some accessories if they offered something more (materials, construction, features, tech, robustness) than other brands.

I'll give you some examples:
- for the 360Āŗ cameras you should have included the "dashcam" pack and app.
- car should come with a small travel charger (because its a SUV) 2-3kW would do.
- nets shouldn't be an option for frunk and trunk
- the lack of software details like consumption tracking, individual driving settings, sound equalization
- power-limit charging-speed on app
- In Europe would be much appreciated in-out parking lot external driving (a couple of metters). It may sound silly but here parking lots are rather small.
- The rattles in many places for not properly smoothing and upholstering some surfaces.
- Some finishes and materials feel cheap.

I mean include at least what others include, don't make fun of other brands (like most dealers do), and let people compare the driving experience.

I was quoted 90K for a year old Turbo with a new price of 150K so no trade up / down for the Cayenne in the next 10 years … 🤣
