agree with all your points. my problem, and i assume a few others, is how long do they keep the car before they determine they’ve fixed it or think it’s ok/safe to return to me/us? so far i’m on 8 days

Reset on your own is 30 minutes. If not cleared bring it in. The actual time for them to do troubleshooting and download software varies of course but anything beyond a few days seems excessive and I suspect they are not working on your car but waiting for somebody or something

as long i get a loaner...i'd gladly let them keep the car for as long as they need. Less wear n tear on my own.
I got a Taycan for my loaner when i had the updates done. and sure, i liked the macan better, it was still to have while i did.

And honstly, if for whatever reason they keep the car past the legal "lemon" time...i'd gladly take the buy out and order another with some new/more options!
or wait for the next model year.

nah, concerning the loaner i don’t agree. my loaner is an ice cayenne. i really don’t like it, i want my macan back.

I got the Cayenne loaner, too. Roomier and plush feeling but I switched it for a gas macan to have the sportier feel. First Porsche so super bummed. Yes…Probably take the buy back and wait!

Don’t give up . I have had mine for 8 months. After a few configuration issues in the first 2 - 3 months everything has been perfect. Super fun and not even a peep from the gremlins. Working like it should all the time. Seems strange to imagine how some are having a different experience. I wonder if the Macan 4 had a different software source code base than the turbo.? Who knows

got the message twice over the last couple weeks. cars been in the shop for 5 days. they’re waiting for Porsche on guidance on how to proceed. hopefully they’ll figure it out this upcoming week!

My 4S has more bugs than a bush ticker trial. Went to the shop and came back to a dead car scrolling multiple messages to do with the battery/charging. Called Porsche assistance (The AA) who would be an hour, which turned into 2 then 3. Went back and the messages had gone and all was normal. Now I am getting 9 messages of assistance failures presumably anything to do with radar sensors and Bose has totally given up, even when streaming or connecting to CarPlay. Just had to drive 250 miles with the wife in silence. Porsche Sutton Coldfield booked for a full descale of the software on 7.7, but no courtesy cars available until September. Must be an infestation.
