Penny for your thoughts. I'm going in tomorrow for my first service on my Macan EV. They called me to schedule it. Here is what they are planning to do. Other than some random sensor failures that cleared themselves, I haven't had much go wrong with the car. Knock on wood. Is there anything you'd recommend I ask re: VR29.13, or anything else I should have them look at other than the below:

Scheduled Services:
  • Replace luggage compartment cover
  • Replacing plastic slide on three-point belt at front
  • Update to software network VR28.13
I have had some disturbing but random thunking sounds when I back up or pull forward from a stop. almost seems like the anti crash braking systems are triggered when they shouldn't be triggered. but mostly the car has been great.

In the UK those ‘issues’ are not a recall - since the software upgrade I have noticed no improvements but now have the ‘battery balancing issue’ and random range showing.

Hi Wivenhoe. Thanks for the warning. gosh that’s a bummer. Will cross fingers for a clean upgrade here and hope yours resolves soon. “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it” comes to mind.

I'm in Santa Monica as well, had the software updated, the luggage cover clips replaced, but declined the seat belt thing -- I installed the OEM clip that's also on the driver side seat belt instead.

No issues.
That's cool. Good to hear. I am going to mention to the dealer about the car not going into gear consistently. Thanks PO. See you in town! I"m a base car but copper ruby. Lucky you with the Turbo!

At least you're driving your car. I got hit by a guy making a reckless and negligent lane change and have been in a rental car for almost two months. Still waiting for my insurance to authorize the final mechanical repairs.
oh geez! That sucks! And that's ridiculous your insurance is taking so long.
hopefully you're back in the fast lane soon.
I get a loaner tomorrow. Southbay Porsche.

I just got the big software update a couple of weeks ago, and everything seemed to be fine.

However, a few days later, I noticed that my Lane Change Assist (the yellow warning on the side mirrors and doors) no longer worked.

I scheduled an appointment for a couple of weeks later, so that I could have a loaner. A day before I took the car in, my native Spotify app stopped working.

They have had the car for a few days, because service is busy. But they think they have fixed it with some re-installing, and workarounds, like folding and unfolding the mirrors. (Not kidding)

Actually, my vehicle has been recalled for exactly the same list as the original poster's .. and I am in UK.

Totally coincidentally, my 2024 EV 4S is at the Porsche dealership today also!

Normally, I would be welcoming the updates to the software but - having experienced many annoying niggles in the early months of ownership (windows dropping randomly, failures to power up, random requests to reset my tyres, etc) I have had a few months of relatively trouble-free motoring. Let's hope this 'upgrade' isn't a return to the bad old days of poor software..

Update: also 40+ years of working in technology ... and know all about 'Friday afternoon fixes' ;-)
