Agreed. Not acceptable but i'm trying to zen out like @Fun TC Driving haha

I will mention it when i bring in my car for service next month though
That is the only thing you can do as the early adopter gang. I cannot make a leap for it, as it would drive me up the wall, but I keep trying to get the dealer to give me one to drive every chance I get. They have been very nice to let me drive them and charge me top dollar for Taycan service.

there are some here with legitimate complaints but those many reporting noises you refer to are likely Tesla marketing BOTs, like the one pedal driving complaints.
That's not true, these are long time members - many with photos of their deliveries. Not everything is a conspiracy.

And frankly the One Pedal Driving this was something I was eager to have - but not a deal breaker for my order.

Rattle is my only issue. Wish it was addressed. Im starting to think it's something in the rear passenger door.

Found a new gripe this week!

if you have the electric charging doors, and you have problems starting a charge. If you unplug, the door will close.

The Jedi wave to open the door now takes a minute or so to reset and become available for swiping again.

I’ve hit this several times this week as I needed to restart a charge at an unfamiliar charger.

Even though my pending 4s delivery is fairly loaded, the motorized charge port door was a feature I left off my build sheet. It seemed to be very inconsistent opening and closing on the showroom floor. We tinker with it for quite a while and could get it acting normal for a while but then there was always a case of "OK suddenly it's not working as expected again."

I'm ok manually flipping that door open.

The ice Macan I have as a loner feels very slow, looks old, and drives like a truck compared to my 4S. I would not have considered it when car shopping.
I don't think anyone here was comparing the prestige of a service loaner with 4 cylinders designed 11 years ago to the new Macan electric, other than to point out that the former curiously doesn't rattle like the brand new electric.

(BTW that 11 year old "truck" is still to this day Porsche's #1 selling automobile by volume, ahead of the Cayenne by 3,000 units in 2024.)

Doors are not ā€œsoft closeā€ā€¦ require a bit of a forceful push for them to close. I often find myself having to do it again.
I know we'll get used to it (only had ours 11 days), but yeah, gotta slam these doors. We're constantly having to open/close again to slam it so it shuts.

We bought ours 1000 miles from home while on a road trip (long story). When trying to charge at the hotel that night, I could not get the power charge port doors open (started to panic knowing we had 1000 miles to drive the next day). I thought it took a swipe motion, from just above the surface like the frunk. Nope, totally different than the frunk. Gotta actually press my whole hand into the lower part of the charge door, applying gentle pressure. I'm up to about 80% success rate on that now. (And knowing I can release it from the PCM if needed helps a lot.)

For the frunk, I'm getting good at getting the hand pass to work, right-to-left, right along the crease. Initially I had problems getting it closed though, no matter how hard I slammed it or pushed down. Turns out it's a 2-stage close. Need to gently lower it until it clicks past the first latch an inch or two above flush, then it opens up the final latch that only takes a gentle push the rest of the way.

Lots of non-intuitive ways of doing things on this car.

I use left to right, over the top of the bumper (not bonnet shut line).
Surprised it works both ways.

I am right there with you. I took my 4S in because it was not connecting to porsche connect and not allowing me to log into my vehicle. I received a brand new loaner Macan ICE. When I first sat in it I was shocked at how dated everything looked. The ICE driving dynamics were also jarring. Porsche has not been able to fix my data connect issue and so I'm now a month into using the Macan ICE and I must say it's grown on me, but the reality is that it's the lowest level Porsche in the entire lineup and nowhere close to a 4S (or I assume also a RWD Macan EV).

Now that I'm a month into my issue with my local dealer continually telling me they can't solve the issue after a full reset, install of current software, replacement of the cellular module in the vehicle, and consultation with Porsche HQ, I'm starting to worry about being in a lemon law situation. I love my 4S, but very concerned this is an issue that can't be relatively easily fixed. Assuming they do get things up and running, I do worry about the ability for relatively minor software/electrical issues with this vehicle seemingly requiring an army of Porsche tech engineers to fix.

No noises, no squeaks, .e.g., as solid as can be on my +3,500 mile Macan Turbo.
Hi to all. Sorry to hear about Dealer EV Loaners.

Whilst I’ve openly complained about my car’s initial software gremlins, since all resolved ( 1 by 1 thru 4 dealer visit’s, ouch!) car runs great.

My car’s fit and finish is Porsche standard superb. 10,200 miles mid Oct to end of June.

No creaks squeaks or rattles of any kind either. after 13 ICE Porsches, mostly 911 / 911C4S, 1 Panamera and 1 ICE Macan S, the one thing Iā€˜ ve heard other owners complain about is the Bose sound. Yes šŸ¤”šŸ¤ØšŸ˜”šŸ˜³šŸ„ŗ. Really sub par; only base and treble adjustments. No mid range. For those who love music and drive daily, get the top of the line stereo and maybe cut out some of extra leather and carbon fiber trim, none of which improves driving technology nor audible enjoyment during transitā£šŸ˜‰

Happy motoring.

Thank you sharing. I know I’m silly, but when I factory ordered my car in the specs I thought odd that a fully electric car would have electric doors to access chargers. So I ordered manually opening charger doors. I cannot imagine trying to recharge my car with the electric charger doors frozen shut. I’ve had gremlins so am happy I could open and charge my car without risk of resets not working. Safe and happy motoring wishes to you.

Just now had to try about ten different ways/times to get a power charging port door to finally open. Almost no range left and over thirty miles from the dealership so kept trying. Finally one opened.

This is far front the first time I have had to try multiple times and methods to get a charging port door to open. Lesson learned for me, that my replacement Macan (after my current lease ends), will have manual port doors.

I too thought it was a swipe like the frunk!

The manual says "Lay your hand flat on the rear third of the charging port door." and that feels more reliable, but I've not used this after it's closed to see how fast it opens again.
