How to use launch control in our EV's?

Hi All,

Been playing with the Macan this morning, but does anyone know how to activate launch control for the full BHP. Plenty of videos for the ICE macan but couldn't find one for our EV's.
I set the dial to sport, come to standstill and mash the throttle?

And if the brake press is not hard enough, you won’t get the launch control message or performance.

So need to mash the brake and the throttle too. Will give a try when it's less icey.

I understand the basic questions will come up, but have you considered reading the manual first before posting. Where did you search how to launch Macan EV and did not find how?

At least half the people don’t read the manual or only sections that seemed relevant - which means a whole lot of available information is missed.

And it’s not just the manual, most people don’t use the search function here or they just create new threads for the exact same question asked a few days/weeks earlier.

Between that and people getting offended because their expectations of the car (“but it’s a Porsche!!!”) are not in line with the real world…

It is only going to get worse as more people get a Macan. It is what it is.

Fair point about checking the manual, but as per post had already checked, including youtube, google and this forum. Using the online manual typing in "launch control" does not provide a direct hit, so I'm glad you found it for the forum hidden away.

As tmrqs says half the people don't read the manual, I'm the half who hasn't sat down and trawled through every page of the online manual and memorised it, but only use it as a reference. Thanks for the other 50% who are kind enough to share their knowledge.

It would be a boring forum if every response was "please read the manual" and not provide any advice or support for fellow Macan owners when the question hasn't been asked before.
