Hello Macan EV owners,
I’ve had my Macan EV Turbo since November 2024. I have two iPhones connected to the car’s hotspot, and everything worked perfectly until March—e-mail, data transfer, internet access, WhatsApp, Deezer streaming, and CarPlay were all functioning without any issues.
Since March, however, the data transfer and internet connection have stopped working, despite the car showing a strong 4G signal and the phones being properly connected to the hotspot.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far, without success:
I’m beginning to suspect a fault with the embedded SIM or perhaps a problem with the car’s antenna system—if such a system is involved.
Has anyone else encountered a similar issue? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far, without success:
- Locking the car, waiting, and unlocking again
- Deleting and re-pairing both iPhones
- Performing a soft reset of the PCM
- Ensuring both iPhones are up to date
- Confirming there’s no data usage limit or quota issue with Data Pass
- Occasionally, the internet connection is restored and works for 2–3 days before dropping again.
- Radio playback experiences brief signal interruptions, even in areas with strong reception (downtown or on the motorway).
- Streaming via Deezer or Tidal frequently stops abruptly.
- Possibly related: the built-in navigation system no longer displays traffic congestion, while Google Maps via CarPlay correctly shows live traffic congestion on the same route.
- Recently, I also had the experience of Innodrive and speed limit recognition being out of service for two days.
