That question reminds me when I bought my plane back in the days..."Which is the better plane?A Cessna,a Piper,a Beachcraft,a Diamond...or whatever..." There is no such thing as "a better" plane, boat or car.The one we chose is the best for each and everyone of us as far as it makes us happy and does what we need it to do.
Someone's best car most likely not even be second (or maybe third) best for someone else.
So,for me my 4S is better and I would definitely choose it again over GTS.The added power means nothing to me and I prefer most the added ground clearance I have instead of the lower GTS stance.

Why the GTS over the Turbo? If money was no object, still the same choice?

Good question. From what I have read the GTS is more finely, precisely tuned — a touch more like a typical non-EV Porsche. I also like some of its interior options more, as I do its widened side skirts and the mini rear extra spoiler. And it is a little cheaper. Yet we do love our Macan Turbo too.

I dunno. I spec'd a GTS when they first were announced. A Turbo was like maybe 8-10k more.

Bit of confirmation bias so far i havent i seen an argument for the turbo other than its fractionally quicker and bragging rights i think 10k could be better spent elsewhere

the GTS looks fantastic but no longer is a deal like it used to be in prior generation Macan's. The price differential between a Turbo and GTS is now only a few thousand dollars for similarly equipped vehicles. Tough choice no doubt!

The same could be said with the 4S, saving $15,400 over the GTS.

for the sake of comparison of GTS and Turbo, it's $7,400 difference and 67 horsepower. its only $110 more per horsepower and you get the cooler fake rear vented bumper. The Turbo upgrade from a GTS is a bargain!

Base $80,300 / 355HP = $226 per HP
4 $84,000 / 402HP = $208 per HP
4S $89,900 / 509HP = $176 per HP
GTS $105,300 / 563HP = $187 per HP
Turbo $112,700 / 630HP = $178 per HP

It all depends heavily on options, once you start adding a lot to 4S you'll get the GTS.

On the other note - has anyone here had the experience of driving 4/4S and the GTS to compare?

I'm kind of running out of time to decide on the replacement for my Macan, was almost all set for a Taycan but wanted to try the GTS as I hope it could be kind of the best of both worlds. I didn't find any reviews helpfull.
