Went to the dealer today where they fixed the issue with what the mecanic called a soft reset.

Almost everything is working again except for the plug & charge. But in my previous experience it's quicker anyway to just use the rfid key ring so I will not spend anytime trying to get that working again.

Hi !

Woke up this morning and checked if my car charged properly last night and realized the app didn't refresh after 22:29 yesterday.
Had the charging refresh issue when I got the car and it solved itself after 24h but this time I didn't retrieve any information from the car.

Tried disconnecting from the app and login again but it didn't solve the issue.

Then while driving I realized I didn't have any connection with Google using the car nav. Checked Youtube and it worked well.

Decided to ask my friend Microsoft Copilot who told me to do a reboot which I tried several times without any success.
Then he told me to disconnect my profile and login again. Doing so I never managed to get a QR code displayed and couldn't connect manually either so I decided to call Porsche support.
They were helpless and sent me a mail to register my issue. Then a technician is supposed to call me back but I never got any call. Seems I will have to go to the dealership to do a soft reset of the communication system...

I am really happy with my car but these connectivity issues are really annoying me. I always have IT issues with my cars which is funny for a CIO...

Does anyone have experienced the same thing and found a solution that doesn't require to go to the dealership?

I don’t know if Porsche’s support did something but I managed to connect back this morning and everything works fine.

The newest SQ4 update to 28.13 seems to address this issue of keeping the connection between car and the mobile app, anyone can confirm?

I checked mine: PCM --> System --> System --> Software --> About

It shows SQ1D and a date 220205 e.g, ancient history! However this is just the PCM display version and most car components have their own S/W versions.

I have booked a Service appointment (now middle August for three day turnaround) for an update to SQ5. It's not a recall, so like for previous updates I don't know how many updates the car has missed. Compare to my experience with 2021 M3 Tesla with OTA, it's not quite there yet.

I have two/three issues:

Car doesn't reliably connect to Apple Car Play - which might be my iPhone.
Can't set a temperature when using the App to warm/cool the car
Connectivity to car is patchy in remote area - suggests it's not using my WiFi

Dealer doesn't seem to know what's fixed and I'm not sure if any fixes are relevant.

Where do you see the version?
no one has found a way to retrieve the software version installed for the Macan. I would welcome a way to do it, but it's not been done yet.

As you indicated, that's only the PCM (or something else). I for 100% sure have the latest SQ5 updates, and my version number still shows exactly like the number you provided; see screen shot. I don't know what the version number located there actually is the version number for, but it's not for the true software load version number.
