I am having serious issues with battery range of my Macan4 bought in October 2024. Loses about 10-15% range over a distance of about 10miles. Recently was identified as having an issue with some battery modules as total range at 80% charge was 120miles. Local dealership informed that was a known issue with Macan EVs and they had fixed 4 of these in the last week. Has anyone else had the same issues, and any advice welcome. Thanks

Does this known issue have a bulltin number or sth? Any details?

Mine (also October 2024) shows 150 miles (240km) at 80% but it’s winter and i drive on highways.

Oh dear, sounds like the Taycan all over again.

In sure they'll fix it that's what your warranty is for.

Any chance that they elaborated on how this should be fixed/diagnosed?

Mine 2025 June 4S is also doing some weird stuff with battery - low range/inconsistent consumption, SOC drain while stationary, but my dealer seems to struggling to do anything with it up till this point.

My consumption according to SoC % display most of the times decreases 1% for every 4~4+ Kms on the highways, driving steadily @ 120-125Km/hour.OAT 15° C,no wind, 20' wheels. However there are times I see 1% drop every 2 Km or even less without any changes in driving style/road/weather.Such a SoC erratic behaviour have as a result to arrive at my destination with considerably less SoC than anticipated but after I leave the car overnight next morning it shows a higher % (from 18 to 24).But even then it isn't as high as it should.
Additionally,SoC % is way off in relation to kWh/100Km which I believe is far more accurate and exact according to other trip calculations.
Now I'll try to do the shell rebalancing thing reaching an as low as possible SoC, (1-2% would be ideal),leaving the car for 24 hours, then slow charge to 100% and leaving it fully charged for another 24 hours and hope it will work out.If not, I'll visit couple of service centers looking for clues and answers and hopefully a solution.

It sounds really low. I drive on highways a lot, barely used my innodrive and drive basically like any other ICE-car with studded 20” tires and have a range of about 360-400km at 80%.

Thanks. What is shell balancing? is it something that we can do or is it done by the dealer?

My SOC -> Displayed Range calculation is broken the other way.

Electric Macan EV Issues with Macan battery and range IMG_7986

360 miles range at 80% is outrageous! This implies a 100% range of 450 Miles (not km!). My consumption is under 3 m/kwh at this time of ye. (It does drop by 40 when I put it in gear to drive, but thats still too much)

My dealer is not concerned, but I think this is an indication of something not right.

From CarScanner, I did see these 2 numbers. It looks like the display is using the middle number, when the one on the left is more realistic

For now, the only thing I can use reliably is the consumption of each trip to manually calculate possible range. The range display is essentially broken

Thanks. What is shell balancing? is it something that we can do or is it done by the dealer?
Basically is a procedure I saw on a YouTube video couple of months ago.The guy called it "battery recalibration",or "battery shells rebalancing" or something like that.If I remember correctly this procedure affects mainly LFP batteries and since we have an NMC one it's likely we don't need it but I'll do it anyway since it won't harm the battery either.
As I described it seems to be rather simple so we can definitely do it without the need to visit a dealership.
