I'm still waiting to hear back from the Finance team but want to ask about a 12mo lease with a 1 time payment, see if it allows to be about the price of purchase but having an out after 12 months if unhappy for some reason.
I went with a 12-month single-pay lease with 15K miles (minimum miles allowed for a 12-month lease) on my 4S. Money factor was high at .00350,but still lower than a monthly-pay lease, and a residual of 0.71.

I'm getting my S next week and was quoted .0043 and residual of 56% on a 39 month/10K miles (or 65% for 24/10K). My Purchase price is $96K so not a lot of options. And my CR is over 800 but that doesn't seem to matter. What are others being quoted lately?

Is it still possible, in late March 2025 (or early April 2025), for the dealership to get the $7500 federal tax credit when leasing a new Macan 4 (and then passing that $7500 savings on to the bottom line to the customer, for the lease calculations)?

Yes, but the combination of the origination fee, money factor, and inflated residual makes that $7500 vanish. The leases are awful except for the occasional promo for an in-inventory unit. Unless you need to lease for tax reasons, it's not worth the bother.

Unless you do a one pay lease (12 to 24 months) and pay it off after 3 months, effectively buying the car and pocketing a good chunk of the $7.5k credit.

Ask me how I know. 🙃

Yep, that would also do it. You'd net out around $4100 of the $7500 with that approach. Normally that wouldn't be worth it against returns on that ~$100K, but with the market in freefall, parking that cash in investments instead might lose money as fast as depreciation haha.
