My Macan 4 EV IG: @macan4.neo
Just picked up my first-ever Porsche — a Macan 4 EV in Slate Grey Neo. I’m 41 this year, and this marks a truly special milestone for me. It’s my first Porsche (yes, even though it’s an EV ?), and I’m from Malaysia.
The color Slate Grey Neo has really grown on me. It’s subtle and understated, but the more you look at it, the more depth and sophistication it reveals. Quietly confident — just the way I like it.
I put a lot of thought — and let’s be honest, money — into speccing this car. In fact, my sales advisor told me it’s currently one of the top 3 highest-optioned Macan 4 units in Malaysia. It’s nearly fully loaded, but every option was something I truly wanted, not just for the sake of ticking boxes. That, to me, is the real beauty of Porsche: the ability to create something that feels uniquely yours.
I’ve had the car for about a week now, and so far I’m really enjoying it. As a daily driver, it’s smooth, quiet, and composed. Throttle response is linear and intuitive, and the chassis feels solid and confident. The steering is precise — light enough to be easy, but never vague. It gives you trust.
It’s not a brute in terms of performance, but switch to Sport Plus, put your foot down, and the power is definitely there — strong, planted, and unmistakably Porsche.
For me, the Macan 4 hits a sweet spot: a practical, refined electric SUV that still brings genuine driving enjoyment. It doesn’t scream for attention, but it rewards you the more you drive it.
The interior is clean and well thought out — premium without being flashy, and everything falls to hand naturally. It feels like a proper Porsche, but evolved for everyday use.
Today was one of those rare good-weather days, so I gave the car a wash and took it out for a few photos. Shot everything using my Fujifilm X100VI camera, straight out of camera. I’m still learning and experimenting with settings and composition — but I’m really enjoying the process of figuring it all out.
