Very nice treatment! Is it more expensive than a normal wrapping?
I paid the equivalent of 4900 USD/4600 EUR, which included:
- full PPF (Profilm Ultra Pro Clear)
- full window tinting: 30% on windows, 50% on sunroof (Profilm Skincare)
- transparent window film on windshield (for UV protection)
- ceramic coating on top of PPF (GTechniq Halo)
- Ceramic coating on outside of all windows (GTechniq Clear Vision)
- coating of wheel rims (GTechniq C5 Wheel Armour)
- interior protection: leather and interior elements (Gtechniq Nano Ceramic)

90% of the cost was the PPF and window tinting.

Thats a great price.. same job would be closer to 8-10k in California.

Congrats and great work on the vehicle - i had already watched the following on YT yesterday as it popped up in my feed - so great to know you're on the forum here as well!

Could ask one question though - for the bonnet installation do you know if they removed the emblem and PPF'd one piece or did a cut-out for it? I've replayed the video a number of times but can't tell (which is good i guess :like:) - just wondering as I'm wondering whether to ask my installer to remove (my general preference) or not when it eventually arrives (still waiting at port in Bremerhaven for a boat ride).

Here is the link that the detailer made of the PPF, Ceramic Coating and leather/interior protection process of my Macan Turbo.

Hi, thanks ;)

They did not remove the emblem, they use full laser pre-cut pieces. Their quality is amazing - even the Porsche dealership is in awe.

Here are some zoom-up pictures. It’s almost impossible to see, but I can feel that the PPF is tucked in the little gap between the emblem and the bonnet. While around the letters on the side and back, the pre-cutout is more clearly visible around the letters.

Oh wow! Thanks much for the close-up photos of the badging @ketje78 - super appreciated 🏆

Xpel installer i'm using is also going to be using pre-cut templates - but Porsche SA had also given me the option to request for hood emblem removal (for PPF install) if i wanted so that's why i'm considering... I've also requested that areas that can be 'tucked' over the edge (ie. bonnet, doors) be done so. Other areas, that can't be tucked (like where the bumper meets the body) i just have to hope they do a good job.

I know that I (most probably) don't want them to remove the door handles - whilst it's the 'official' Porsche PPF installer (sent to them before i take delivery) - something about a 3rd party dismantling a factory car door is just an additional variable i don't want to have to account for.

Many thanks again and hope your ride brings you much enjoyment - sure looks fantastic!

I wonder why that is even optional. Removing the emblem shouldn't take but a couple of minutes (2 plastic nuts). I figured all PPF installers would do it for ease of installation.

From experience those cut edges are going to collect dirt and grime quite easily and become noticeable. The correct way is to remove the emblems and reattach. That said, most people don’t care and won’t notice.
