My typical 12v battery voltage is 14.4v

I've noticed my 12v battery typically sits at 14.4v while the car is running and 13.4v when I first turn it on. I just thought it was interesting that it seems to sit at the high end of the range for a quality 12v car battery. I wrote a note about it and figured I would share it here.

It is a lithium type battery, not the lead acid type auto battery you may be used to. Voltages are a bit different, dunno off hand what is the normal range.

that's completely normal...even with gas cars.
Voltage has to be well OVER 12 so that when you turn things on, there's no hit that makes it dip BELOW 12v.
and it gives the voltage regulator time to adjust for the new loads
