Is there any official word on when NACS charging ports will actually be installed on new cars from the factory or are rumors the best we have to go by for now?

Is Porsche holding off until 2026 models are built or are they just going keep installing CCS/J1772 ports until the parts bin runs dry before putting in NACS?

Answer: No

Answer: Only internal Prosche knows

Personal Speculation: NACS won't show up on Macan until the .2 refresh (about 4 model years from intro) so the 2029/2030 model…

but it doesn't matter - because you'll still need adapters even if you have NACS native port - so I don't honestly know why anyone cares…

As @daveo4EV mentions, it doesn't really matter. You're either going to carry an NACS adapter or a CCS adapter for the foreseeable future. Frankly, I'd rather use an NACS adapter to Tesla superchargers (something they've put actual work into) then a CCS adapter to Electrify America or similar. At least Tesla cares about their charging network, EA is hard enough to get working without an adapter involved.
