Thanks for sharing your details, I will defo let my dealership know and hope it will help, as you say, engineer to engineer.

@Chris, Yes, seems strange that we are all local to each other too, with this issue.

I will keep you all posted and if sucessful, thanks to thealbs, will help everyone with this issue too.

Gents,
I collected the car on Monday for the random window opening and electronic charger port issue. I had already provided the 'thealbs' car reg ahead of my visit and advised that this vehicle had a similar issue. The dealer then informed me that he couldn't use this as 'no two cars are the same' and if we carried out something on mine that the other dealer had advised and this caused issues, then this would be a problem.
I suppose there would of been no harm if they did contact the other dealer, just to understand what they did, so they could make their own informed judgement.
In the end, they could not find any fault, so he carried out a general maintenance check for the windows and lubricated the sun-roof rails (as this was creaking).
What's funny is that on leaving he wanted to demonstrate how to open the charging port and it wouldn't work, the engineer had already gone home by then!
He did say, if I do experience anything again to let them know.
Its only been a few days, but we'll see - especially for the window.

NB. The car did have a software update for the rear camera, whilst there - back room stuff he said.

"No two cars are the same" is a bit of a concerning comment when these are supposedly all produced to the same exacting standards of build quality eh !!! I'd get that if it was an optional extra but... windows?! Presumably all Porsche experts have access to a central log of common issues and they would have access to this regardless of what colour / variant your car is .

Fingers crossed that this resolves your windows issue but it sounds alarmingly similar to my first visit to my dealership when they were vague on their actions but said "it should be fine now". Then a few days later...

Lets hope history doesnt repeat itself.

Now ... what's wrong with these rear cameras? ;-)

Totally agree, I just hope the guy on the desk mentioned to the engineer that your vehicle with a similar issue was resolved and he just didn't dismiss it all together. Only time will tell and will let you know what happens.
