1. Reliable. In 10 years of owning the Tesla I was never logged out. Porsche app randomly logs me out
2. Apple Shortcuts support
3. Siri supoort
4. Car key support (no need to use a physical key)
5. Apple Watch
I'm glad to see that this thread has spurred some conversation and further articulation of what the My Porsche app can do. In that spirit, let me address the concerns you raise...
  1. Can't speak to this. Time will tell.
  2. Apple Shortcuts is supported and includes the following actions...
    • Ambient Light (turn on/off, set color)
    • Climate Control (turn on/off, raise/lower, hot/cold)
    • Climatization (not sure how this one works... see my post below; I figured this out and it’s super easy)
    • Driver Massage (turn on/off)
    • Passenger Massage (turn on/off)
    • Radio Action (turn on, next [station maybe?])
  3. Siri is supported, both directly and through Shortcuts
  4. Car Key Support is missing (fingers crossed we'll see it at some point)
  5. Apple Watch is supported and includes the following actions/information...
    • Lock/unlock (action)
    • Start/stop climatization (action)
    • Tire pressure reporting
    • Vehicle security status (vehicle locked/unlocked, doors closed/open, windows closed/open, panoramic roof closed/open, tailgate closed/open, front hood closed/open, parking lights off/on, electric parking brake active/inactive)
    • Charging status (level of charge and charging plug connected/not connected)
    • Total mileage
    • Trip data (since start, since charging, total)
In addition to this, there is a widget (at least on iOS; cannot speak to Android) that reports...
  • Vehicle security status (green check or not)
  • Charging plug connected/not connected
  • Battery state of charge
  • Range on current charge
  • Total mileage
Finally, there is the new (as noted in my original post) control panel for iOS that allows you to turn climatization on/off.

Happy to see Porsche add to this over time, but as a first time EV owner, this is great stuff to have.

If not too much trouble can you list the steps to get Siri to turn on/off Preclimate?
I have it on control center screen but can't get it to Siri.

How do you use Apple Shortcuts when you are not "sitting in the car" connected to it? That is how Porsche has designed their Apple Shortcuts and Siri support which is just baffling.

"Hey Siri, start the climate control" is something I wish to do from anywhere not from inside the car.

The widget is pretty good and the app boot is fast, which is respectable.

I totally missed there was a Watch app! That's fantastic! Thanks for pointing that out.

As it turns out, you’ll need to use Shortcuts to do this (I’ve corrected my post above to note that Siri support must be done through Shortcuts). If you’re at all familiar with Shortcuts, it’s super easy to make happen. Here’s how…
  1. Open Shortcuts and create a new shortcut
  2. Use the “Search Actions” field to search for “My Porsche”
  3. Scroll down and click on the “Climatization” action to add it to your shortcut
  4. Paste your car’s VIN into the VIN field (you can get this by copying it from your My Porsche app)
  5. Toggle the “Climatization Status” toggle to On (it will turn green)
  6. Name your shortcut something handy (e.g., ”Preheat Porsche”) by clicking on the current name at the top of the screen and selecting “Rename” from the pop up menu.
That’s it! At this point, you should be able to say ”Hey Siri, Preheat Porsche“ (or whatever you named your shortcut) to execute it. Post again to let me know if you have questions and/or how you made out.

I’m going to ping the Administrator here (who seems to be watching over us really well) to see if we can set up a forum where we could post various shortcuts that forum members create. We’d need to be able to upload files. Can that be done?

Check out my post above. That will work from anywhere (you don’t need to be in/near the car).

I have 400 or so shortcuts, very familiar with how they work. It was confusing to me why there are so many that don't seem to do anything outside the car. I did try that Climatization one you mention, added my VIN, toggled the green toggle and ran it. Nothing happens.

Try executing it again. It can be a little wonky. Doesn’t always work on the first try—it looks like it may timeout on the first run. If I were a better Shortcut programmer, I’d insert some error checking code to see if I can prevent this.

It does work, even if somewhat unreliably. I know this is not ideal and I’ll work on it when I have more time. I’ve only created one Shortcut using the “My Porsche” actions and will definitely be exploring this more in the coming days.

It would have been great if the shortcut action returned status so that error handling could be implemented.
I hear you. In my experience, that's not a particular strength of Shortcuts.

That said, I just tried using this same Shortcut from my Mac, and it worked, first time out.

I am getting this message when I ask Siri to execute the climatization shortcut

IMG_3080.jpeg
Did you create the shortcut?

If so, you can invoke it with Siri by saying "Hey Siri, [insert name of shortcut here]"

If not, you'll need to create the shortcut using the steps I outline above.

Yes I made the shortcut and renamed it.
That's the message I get.
(At least the toggle on the control center is an improvement from before)

Hmmm... Not sure what to tell you. A few things to try...

You may want to make sure you've got Siri enabled for the My Porsche app. Here's how to do that... Open the "Settings" app>scroll to bottom and select "Apps">scroll to and select "My Porsche" app>select "Apple Intelligence & Siri">turn all the toggles to On.

Next, make sure the shortcut is enabled to access the My Porsche app properly. To do that... Open the Shortcuts app and open the shortcut you created to edit it. At the bottom of the screen, you'll see an "i" with a circle around it. Click on that. Go to the "Privacy" tab and make sure "Allow this shortcut to access My Porsche" is ON.

I hope this works for you.

Are the new monthly reports live on the app or are these coming in a future release. I don’t have them in my app.
