Rear climate control on even without passengers?

I noticed the other day that my rear climate control (4-zone) was on even without anyone in the back seats. In a Tesla, it would shut off to preserve energy if no passengers are detected in any seat (including the front passenger). I wonder if this is by design to cool or heat the cabin faster, or if it’s a bug. If this is normal behavior, do you keep the rear climate control running?

interesting... i would think having more vents on would cool/heat the cabin faster.
maybe pay attention to see if the air speed is still controlled by the front controls, or only those in the rear...
also, if use "auto" vs manual control of the air makes a difference..

Would be interesting to see if you can control it from the front, currently I have an annoying bug that my rear climate control in the iX comes on even if the complete climate is set to off … I need to go into a submenu to kill the climate in the back … It should be so that only climate comes on if set to on and only for the occupied seats ….
