Mine is at the dealership this week being updated. Brought it in regarding another serious charging and battery drain issue (see my other post.) They told me this update should solve that problem; like the last update was supposed to do.

Got it applied yesterday and it seems to have fixed all the range issues (incorrect range) and the phantom drain seem gone for now.

I also noticed much improved ride on air suspension while going over speed bumps.

I have not had a chance to drive it much yet but happy with the fixes I see already.

I am working through two issues now after the SQ5 update, neither of which I am 100% convinced are the update specific issues.

1) The range estimates are all wrong, and underestimate (trip says it will consume 10% of SoC, but it will use 14%, but it never updates the estimated SoC on trip completion, so you end up with something like 50% SoC left at Destination, but your still 5 or 10km away and the SoC is already lower than end projected on arrival. And it doesn't adjust like it use for me while you drive)

2) I am having a hard time at the DC fast Charger (Electrify Canada). I am plugging in and getting 80kw rate of charge, and after 5 min it drops to 40kw. However, this charger station has 4 units, one of a 350, and that one doesn't work on my car at all anymore, but I see about 80% of people trying it doesn't work for them either. The whole station seems to have super flaky chargers that started about when I got the update, so I am not sure it's a car/software issue with all the other people having issues at this station. The nest closest 350kw charger for me (electrify Canada) is 200km away - There is a few Tesla chargers, but not sure if that would help figure this out and I have never used them before.

Regarding the first problem (range estimate), see if the same problem occurs when using the Guest profile. My guess is that it's specific to your driver profile and that the car just needs to re-learn how your driving habits affect range.
The estimates have tightened up the last 24 hours. But I decided to run the battery down to 4%, wait a little over an hour, charge to 100%, wait a little over an hour and see if that helps. But it has improved.

However, the DC charger still needs exploring, I tried this morning, but the only working one was busy, and the rest all had some sort of error and would not connect to the car.

Hopefully in the next 48 hours, the situation becomes clear as that's going on with both.

SQ5 was applied to my Turbo yesterday (NZ), the suspension over speed bumps is night and day — what a massive improvement with the weird clunk sound eliminated for me.

It did take a few hours for the SoC to sync to the app which isn’t something I’ve never seen before on my car, but it seems to have settled down now and working fine.

Say what you will about Porsche software but I am pleasantly surprised how Porsche continue to improve the drive of this car with software updates. It’s driving and handling better than ever, and it was pretty damn impressive to start with.

Seems this update + all the changes from previous updates resolve all of the most annoying issues.

I'm super impressed they managed to solve this knocking sound over speed bumps - I guess in the end it's not "by design" as they bullshitted before, it's impressive something like that can be done with a software update.

I feel bad for all my frustration over the last year or so doing 50k kms in a car having constant problems, service staff looking at me like I'm crazy and finally having a recall campaign that solves these issues with a simple software update. It shows the PPE platform was rushed to the market and lacked support from dealers but in the end when refined this car next to Taycan are by far the best drivers EV on the market.

PS issues with assistance systems even when disabled affect driving/handling precision I've been having also confirmed by the dealer and I suspect will also have some kind of an update in the future.

I had the update performed at the dealership Thursday and I drove 100 highway miles yesterday. Range estimates and battery draw seem to be back to normal. I know a lot of people have said the air suspension seems to be better, but I feel like it took a step backwards and feels slightly stiffer to me.
