I have trouble getting the passenger mirror to tilt down enough to see the curb, so I often end up relying on the parking cameras. If I park with the red line over the curb in the camera image, I usually find I'm about 18" from the curb.

The front bumper camera is a little better - when the line is over an obstacle I have about a 12" gap from the front lip.

Is this normal? Should I try to get the dealership to recalibrate?

I don't know if the Macan works differently but on my MDX, but during reverse, the mirrors tilt down. From here, if I adjust the mirror, next time I reverse, it remembers the adjusted position - that way you can adjust it to see more of the rear wheelbase.

Yep - mine don't tilt down far enough. There's another thread on this.

yaeh, the other thread has the instructions... after following that, it's fine for me. But like you said, i tend to use the camera more now anyway.
the rear steering, combined with siting so low in the car, makes it hard for me to partk this car well. I find that i can't get the car in the middle of a parking spot unless i use the over head camera to help
I find that the cameras error on the side of caution though... My wifes car, the lines on the screen will have you 2-3 away from object! too much

I have this and reported it to the dealers. It seems to be standard on all Macan EVs (unfortunately)..

It tilts down but the furthest it can physically go is still too high to see the curb.

I realized that this was partly because I have the mirrors set quite 'wide' during regular driving. (see https://www.caranddriver.com/features/a15131074/how-to-adjust-your-mirrors-to-avoid-blind-spots/)

When the side mirrors are set like this, they can't tilt down as far.
Luckily, I realized that for parking you can make them adjust in towards the car, as well as tilting down. (i.e. it doesn't have to be just a vertical tilt). This seems to work well for me.

BUT -- it doesn't change the fact that my parking cameras are very out of adjustment.

Wow! Those are rather conservative when you live in a city.

If the 'steering guide lines' on the side view cameras are intended to match the ultrasonic sensor distances in that table then they're not a whole lot of use to me. I want to see where the wheels will *actually* go and then I'll choose the distance that I am comfortable with.
