Rear Camera Wash Function 👍

As a lover of all things gadgety on my cars, I’m really impressed that there’s an auto rear camera wash on the Macan. It saves me having to grab the kitchen roll every few days to get rid of the grime from winter road spray. Sometimes it’s the little things that impress the most eh! I only accidentally came across it when trying to work out the auto parking function.

Macan's cameras' quality and the marking (software) are already antediluvian. In addition I've noticed that they are not rainproof. It doesn't help in Belgium ?. Never experimented that in my previous cars.
Do you know if the washing function works for the front camera as well ? Will try it anyway. Thanks for the tip.

Since you have the screen posted, do you know if there is a way to turn off the split screen and have a rear view only?

Coming from an Audi Etron Sportback Launch, which had 16 cameras, the Porsche system does seem rather underwhelming and under-functional.

the front camera has different surround which doesn’t seem to have the bobble of water jet, and I didn’t see the option in the same place on the screen when forward camera view was on, so I think its a rear camera feature, which is a shame as that gets just as dirty.

Not disagreeing, but one could argue, at least, that the rear camera is more important.

I guess it depends on your style of parking.

The rear is definitely handy, but supported by using wing mirrors (old school I know!) for those who most frequently reverse park. I use my front camera every day to judge how close I am to the junk on the floor at the end of my garage though when putting my Macan to bed lol

Just drove 300 miles in dirty, spotty rain post snow, just a super dirty drive. Could not see a darn thing in reverse...hit the spray and wow that worked to perfection! Smart feature. Especially since the camera sucks (refresh rate is terrible and the view is so fisheye as to be semi useless...crazy Porsche can't get that right like even the cheapest car manufacturer does)
