I recalled watching a video where it is possible to activate both the passenger-side front and rear wheels (for parallel parking). I can only seem to see either front or rear wheels. Did I recall correctly?

Yes, it’s possible. I find the GUI a little confusing, in particular pressing little white cameras for different views. If I recall correctly, there is a side view at the start. Haven’t used it for a while.

You need the 360 camera option for this to work. Camera is embedded in each door mirror in addition to a front and rear camera. When Park Assist is active you can then select side view.

I just tried it - the bottom button in the parking screen, below the washer - and it shows both sides at the same time, but only front or rear depending on direction of travel.

Is there a different button combination to select both front and back on one side only? The manual suggests there is not

Front or rear can be selected with the white camera boxes on the screen regardless of travel direction but only one at a time. I use the front view when backing into the garage to gauge exactly here to park (we need room in the rear, not the front). The overhead view (optional on some models) provides a good view of front and rear at the same time.

Understood. But a larger, more detailed view of either the left or right side would be a useful enhancement, especially if the car doesn’t have self parking.
Yeah it would but not likely to feature and doesn't on other Porsche models to date.

Latest gimmick which might feature is unlocking of your car with your eyes just like your phone - Mercedes just show cased this.

you can see a larger view of either side...you just can't see the front and rear at the same time. You can't see the front and rear at the same time iirc
