Recall Notice (Rear Camera)

I got the rear camera recall notice in the mail today.
Has anyone had this work performed?
I'm almost afraid to mess with things as I don't have much problem with it.

There were many cars that had this done in port before the cars could be imported and released to the dealer/customer.

Had this done on mine too as some others have; as they earlier shared, they had neither rear camera distortion problems before ASA3 was done, nor did they (nor I) notice any rear vision improvement after it was done.

Must have been a bunch of new notices sent out. I thought I had escaped but my mailbox had a notice today. Last I checked a month or two ago, my VIN was not on the list. It is today. .

yeah like TMRQS said, there's several threads on this already. It only took a couple hours. and there was no discernable difference in the camera quality...
however, i see the parking assist option now, when i hadn't before.

It's great to hear the rear view camera recall is going well for so many. Sadly my dealership can't seem to manage what just about every other dealership can! I'm now at the 6 week stage without the vehicle, and if sales are to be believed, which is becoming increasingly more difficult, there's no eta on when they can release the car. Apparently, ALL the cameras have been replaced, the vehicle then wouldn't accept the software update, Porsche Germany engaged to diagnose the update issue and now the replaced rear view camera is defective and another is needed! As this is an 'old' unsold 2024, the stop sale is enforced at the PDI stage rather than at the port for new arrivals. In the past 6 weeks, sales have managed to undo 3 years of amazing customer service that Taycan ownership brought!
My advice xrtdr, perhaps a quick call to service to check they have the parts needed before you book it in. Their ability to lay their hands on another if needed probably wouldn't go amiss either!

I have a recall notice coming in the mail as well.

I am signed up for the USPS Informed Delivery service, so I get emailed a scan of all physical mail coming to my home when it hits the USPS system. This morning's Informed Delivery email includes a recall notice from Porsche.

Sorry yours is taking so long. Had my camera recall (software only) done a week ago along with the big software update. Seems to have gone smoothly as I got it back the same day. Rear camera appears to be a smidge better but could just me being hopeful

Got my recall notice. My El Paso dealer says the software update will take a day or two which is hard to believe. Having it done next week, will let you know. (Not sure about needing a new camera thread that I read here.)

We just took our Macan EV in to get this upgrade done. After the upgrade we noticed a couple of issues:
1) The HomeSense (garage door opener) stopped working. It seems to have lost its programming, and now it fails when we try to reprogram it. This happened immediately.
2) A day later, we got a number of error messages, such as "Egress Warner not available" and "Headlight control error" and "Turn Assist not available". Probably 6 or 10 different messages altogether.
We will follow up with the dealership, but wondering if others have encountered either of these issues?

2. Nope, that’s not normal. If it was a simple startup timing problem, the WSD0 software update should have helped if they applied it. Or it might be a failing module causing trouble. Certainly it should be looked at

I saw a green Macan EV on the Burrard St bridge last week in Vancouver. Was that you?
