Hi - had this car since November (I also own a Taycan so I'm familiar with the Departure setup).

I have had a "departure" plan setup as following since November:
7am ready, all days
At our house location
Optimized 12:15-4pm charge window (ie dont charge from 4-12am, high fees...)

Since we've had the car what will happen when charging at home is:
-If I plug in at 5pm, the status light will turn blue, it'll start charging when it needs to and be done by 7am
-If I plug in during the charge window, it may start to charge but will finish by 7am, it may pause (its inconsistent in the behavior, unlike my Taycan)

What happened last night:
-plug in at 7pm, it starts to charge (and the profile is active/on, and no other conflicting profiles) - violating the charge window set by the profile - car had 55% charge
-I remove the location, and the car stopped charging, went blue, said departure by 7am
-I add the location back, it starts charging again (and yes, I'm at that location!), but it's not respecting the 7am departure

I tried deleting (on the car) the profiles, created new. Removed plug and plugged in, etc. Home charger is a Chargepoint Home Flex with no rules setup for use.

Not wanting to mess with it anymore, I just let it finish and it was done in a few hours.

So basically: departure profiles are busted, but they'd been working for over 6mo!

Anyone with thoughts on this? I don't really care too much about being ready at 7am but I don't want it charging during peak rates!

Thanks

Have read Porsche Instructions that clearly state the battery will sometimes charge to 100% (or >80%, do not remember) to make a battery health check.

After driving our Turbo 4,000 miles from PEC ATL to Portland, Oregon, The Macan charged to 100% several times even though we programmed 80%. We drove the last 3,000 miles at mostly steady 82 mph in headwinds > 30 mph and 20 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. After a few unwanted charges to 100%, it has never repeated.

Consider doing a factory reset. That fixed my departure problems and it now works as intended.

You might check with your electricity provider. I live in Las Cruces, NM and our provider is El Paso Electric. If you apply for their incentives, all electricity dishwasher or EV, scheduled after midnight until 8 am, is billed at a rate of 50%. They also offered rebates on wall charger and installation. After some paperwork and waiting, I finally got back $1,800 and I had installed the Porsche wall charger, through it did require a permit.

Yes thats the issue, am familiar with this (in 3rd year of EV use), I'm telling the Macan to charge when rates are lowest/low, not in peak, but it started during peak and did not respect the departure rules. I'm on Solar with net metering plans so basically I only do not want to charge from 4-9pm.

Weird, not seen this, and we have 9k miles on the car, it's always respected the peak.

And this time, it did respect the 80% charge limit.

What it didn't respect is the time to charge or the finish time (basically anything in the departure rule).

This is a factory handover/reset of the PCM?

Resetting/restarting the PCM by holding down the volume button did not fix my Departure problem. I had to do a factory settings reset. Just make sure you take pictures of your PCM settings before as you will need to reorganize your tiles again (it was kind of irritating as I didn’t remember exactly how I had set it before, lol). You will also need to reprogram your HomeLink.

Ok thats the process I thought you were referring to.

I'm going to try plugging the car in tonight and see if it's still screwed up.

But yeah that will be annoying to reset everything Ugh.
