Are you closing the standard sunblind? That should help a little bit.

I suppose the ideal solution would be a completely opaque replacement for the standard perforated sunblind, maybe with a heat reflecting mylar top.
Yeah that sunblind does very little for the radiating heat. Wife sits in the back with the infant and says her head is too hot from the sun. It's usually fine for short trips but after like 30 minutes the roof is too hot from the baking sun.

Anyone tried finding something to put to block the sunroof completely? I live in the SW and I have nano ceramic tint but that only blocks the sun directly but the sun heats up the roof glass and radiates heat down on the back passengers after a while.

Something like this but that would work with a Macan Electric? https://www.amazon.com/QANGBOOM-Compatible-Insulation-Protection-No-Sagging/dp/B0DP8TQFSZ/
Once the glass is hot, it is nearly impossible to keep the heat from the cabin. And mirror film on the inside makes the glass hotter (and not recommended for home insulated windows because the heat rise ruins the seals). You have to fight this battle with reflection on the outside, which suggests a coating on the outside that reflects infrared (many reflect ultraviolet but that is not your issue). I have no experience with a coating that blocks infrared.

Anything that lets heat into the cabin will eventually heat the nearby interior - an insulating block just slows it down.

I have no relationship with Ceramic Pro, but they advertise a window tint film that blocks infrared heat. However, I suspect it is designed for the inside and that may cause a problem with heat reflecting back into the sunroof.

Let us know your solution.

The heat may be uncomfortable, but I think the UV radiation is a bigger problem. It is simply unhealthy. That's why I asked my dealer whether and how much UV is blocked. He just received the answer from Porsche Germany.

“The UV transmission for the H2 panoramaroof is <4% and light transmission is >8%”.

The panoramic roof therefore allows less than 4% UV radiation to pass through. That seems like a decent score to me. I was planning to have a UV filtering film applied, but that is no longer necessary.

Seems this might be the best solution: https://bogartechdesigns.com/produc...ra-decal-film-kit?_pos=9&_sid=b179ca366&_ss=r

I don't know if it fits electric macans, have put in an inquiry about it but if it fits, will definitely give it a shot.
