There are four of these receptacles/ports/mounts in the overhead at the b and c pillars. The owner's manual doesn't mention them...that I can find. It shows the hook near the window is the coat hanger. Thanks in advance!

That makes sense. I went looking all over the Porsche accessories website and couldn't find a thing...although it certainly could be user error!
