This happens at least once a week to me as well. I can’t identify any pattern to it and it always resets after power down. Occasionally it occurs in tandem with the icon that shows that speed limit detection is not working. Porsche service isn’t sure.

Thanks for your response! I’ve had this happens once so far to my 2024 Macan 4 EV… It did reset once I started over….

I see there's water on your windshield... perhaps there's interference with the radar sensor on the front bumper?

It happened to me once. It was after I reversed into a parking space and noticed some slight braking that the car decided to do, I suppose because it detected a false obstacle.
Press the stop/start button and problem solved.

I can’t say for sure about this car but I’ve seen these types of warnings on many different cars in this age of vehicles that have dozens of sensors and driving assist features.

If some sensors are not able to do their thing - whether it be a dirty distance sensor, a blocked camera, a camera blinded by the sun at a certain time of day, a broken or unconnected sensor, interference, or even eye tracking not working because you have sunglasses, you might get a warning like this.

Not to state the obvious but if it goes away on its own then it was probably a temporary or environmental condition. If it’s persistent and there’s no obvious sign of dirty sensors or cameras then it could be a problem with a sensor.

I've noticed it happening when driving into the sun. I think this means "the camera can't make sense of what it sees," which could be for a few different reasons.

Happened to me once. All yellow warnings for all driving assistance features. “OK to drive… etc”. Called Porsche and they told me to shut off the car and wait 20 minutes and then restart to see if the warnings reappeared. They did not when I restarted. Everything was normal.

I had my second delivery orientation at my local Porsche dealership this past week and the technician told me the reset on the car memory is about ten minutes (not 20 minutes.)

Happened to me when driving in snowy weather. The sensors got obstructed with snow and could not assist in driving. I could still drive, just couldn’t rely on the sensors and had to rely on my eyes more.. the notification cleared automatically after the snow melted

As noticed in the message. Take a look at the message in the CID Notification Center. If there is a message that says " Clean your wind shield" then it is the perception issue of the front camera. But still in environmental condition llike low sun cleaning does not help. The issue should heal itself. In some cases a sensor may be hit by a stone. In those cases there is no self healing. Snowy conditions often impact the front radar, not the camera. In any cases the messages in the notification center help a bit to identify which sensor might have a problem.

While awaiting my Macan 4s delivery, I did a short term lease on a Tesla Model 3 Highland. That also pops up for me, when I have water on a camera. It's just a sensor/radar/camera that is wet or dirty I'd assume.

Welcome to the world of Porsche's random error notifications! It's not a normal day unless something pings, errors, slams on the breaks for no apparent reason or has a mind of its own lol
