I would like to report a problem that happened to me 2 times
After lowering and raising the window until it closed, it automatically went back down to about half open.
I tried to raise it several times but each time it went back down. I discovered that if I gave an additional push as soon as the window reached the maximum point I was able to block it but if I got out of the car at the moment I closed the door it went back down.
In the end I got out of the passenger door to be able to leave the window up. The app still reported the window not closed.
It happened to me again and this time after several attempts I solved it by completely lowering the window and raising it again. Has it happened to anyone else?

Yes, it happened to me two times now. First time I had to mess around a few times with the button up, down down up before it closed (rear window, driver side). The second time the passenger window was apparently not fully closed, and had to close it fully, which worked immediately. Elsewhere in this forum someone had a workaround, when window closes half and when closed opens half again. I have not tested it yet, but the workaround was : push and hold down the button, then shortly push down the button again. Same sequence but then up.

It happened to me, only the once thank goodness, and I got round it by lowering the window completely and then closing it

I’m getting a bit concerned at the number of faults in the electrics on these cars, and it seems that they affect many cars, not just one.

This also happened to me, and I discovered the procedure for resetting the window auto functionality. For some reason it becomes uncalibrated, and you need to recalibrate it. The steps are as follows.

1. use the window button to inch the window fully open then. Do not pull it to automatically close. Wait 10 seconds
2. Use the window button to inch it to the fully closed. As above do not pull the button all the way or you will invoke automatic closing. Wait 10 seconds
3. Repeat 1 an 2
4 then it should be calibrated at the full open and close now
5. Try automatic opening now and it should work

The dealer walked me through this on the phone and it worked

I cannot remember how many times I had to repeat it. it was at least twice but it could have been 3 complete cycles. I will try and call sevice to see if I am missing any steps. I would suggest 3 cycles just to be sure

I have had the same issue 4 times now. Alarmingly I tend to discover the window has dropped when I return to it after some time away. I have ‘re-trained’ the window on what closed should look like on every occasion but it continues to misbehave on the one window (passenger front).

I called my dealer who could not fit me in for several weeks but they suggested I call Porsche Assistance. In the UK this is subcontracted to the AA. They arrived at my house within 1 hour of the call (impressive), spent a while talking to their remote Porsche expert, but said they could not resolve the issue and referred me back to the dealer. I am back at square one and do not trust the car to remain secure when I leave it in public right now.

There is a separate thread on here for the same issues too. It seems this is not uncommon at present.
