Before I got the Macan I rented a EV6 GT. It had ~1400 miles on it. The acceleration was good, and the cornering wasn't bad, but the suspension was absolute shit and the noise level in the cabin was completely unacceptable. Then throw in cheap feeling materials, lack of ventilated seats as an option, and the lower range, and it's just a non-starter. At least for the 2025 they added power seats for the GT (wasn't an option for the 2024), but it looks like Kia decided they aren't going to sell that in the US anymore since the GT is manufactured in Korea.

Yes the range is around 210miles but works for me. The Macan seats and the interior is overall better. The air suspension is also better but the EV6 GT suspension is adjustable. It is very harsh on GT mode but quite good at normal mode where it feels similar to Sport mode of Turbo. I have an individual mode with suspension and steering setting at normal and motors at GT mode as my daily driver.
Noise level I do not agree. I find the EV6Gt quieter than the Turbo with the big tires. Maybe the 4s is more quiet.
They give a lot of incentives and discounts so they might still be able to sell them even with the tariffs. I got $12k off and great lease rate on mine.

I don't understand why you get agitated by the comparison of the macan to another car. I just share my opinion. I have nothing to prove to you but here is a photo I just took so that you can see that I actually own a Turbo and the EV6GT just behind it on my driveway. I also owned other Porsches in the past including a Taycan 4s and an ICE Macan S.

Quite funny that one would prefer a Kia or an IONIQ, pretty sure that nobody except you would make that choice. Nobody dreams of a owning a Kia, a Porsche on the other hand … On the noise level … it seems you have the standard 20 inch wheels on the Turbo as I do, I find it hard to believe (except if you really had a bad set of tires) that the Kia on the big wheels would be quieter, I think the cars of this size, you need to take out a db meter to measure … noise is quite deceivable … I have on purpose not taken the noise insulating windows, and the Macan on my 20 inch is dead silent, especially on the Goodyears, a little bit less on the Bridgestone Potenza’s (nobody can rescue you in case of an accident when the window needs to be smashed, noise insulting windows are a death trap).
So in my opinion you are just here to stir up the debate … I have an iX and a GTX ID3, they all have their advantages, but I would never trade them for my Turbo, and I think nobody on this forum will 😜

it's not realistic to think any car, no matter the price, will not have some issue... Especially a new model.
y'all are just being unreasonable at this point. and unreasonably concentrating on issues remember, the thousands upon thousands of members that DO NOT have issues, aren't posting at all...
i'd bet the house that the if anything, the VAST majority of members on here are not having issues.
There aren't "thousands upon thousands" member-owners in this forum. MAYBE a few hundred actual owners.

My buddy's (real life in town friend) Gentian Blue Macan 4 has been in the shop 4x for 5 days each visit for a rattle in the back, and recurring software issues. His feelings on the matter: "We have 4 cars in this house and the Macan EV has been in the shop in 2 months more days that all the other cars combined. It's NOT ready for prime time."

My 2022 Macan GTS has never been in the shop. My 2018 Macan GTS was in the shop twice in 4 years.

I just informed my dealer that I won't be taking delivery of my Macan 4S SGNeo when it arrives next week.

Bring forth the hate, but I've been watching the forums, gathering personal experience, talking to my local shop, etc. I don't need the annoyances. I'll keep my car. ESPECIALLY with the horrible residual and money factor from PFS.

Oh I’m not hating you, everybody has a right to their own opinion, I have driven ICE Macan myself and frankly from a user and driving experience they could not even reach the ankles of my Turbo 🤷‍♂️
I rather would spend a month per year with my Turbo in the garage then drive that ancient tech that is worse then my ID3GTX 🤣
My Model X performance on the other hand was a more at the garage and I hated it with a vengeance, but probably would have preferred it over the ICE Macan …

I’m sorry you won’t get to experience first hand how amazing the Macan EV is: the vast majority of owners here either have zero issue or close to none.

It is what it is, enjoy your ICE Macan! 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm annoyed at some of the software shortcomings of the Macan EV we've owned for 2.5 months now, but I also try to appreciate all of the great things it does too. The smooth ride is wonderful. The driving dynamics are great. Plug&Charge at EA has been nearly flawless.

When I drive our Mach-E, I'm reminded of the main reason we chose to spend WAY more on the next EV... the suspension upgrade. The Mach-E is just too stiff and jarring on lousy city streets. The Macan air suspension is a huge upgrade.

It's a reminder that NO car is perfect. Even the Lucid Gravity I have on order to replace the Mach-E. It's near-perfect (as it should be at that price), but the software in that is messy right now too, like it always is in any new model. One other little annoyance I just found out about: no SiriusXM antenna. We road trip a ton, where there's lots of long cell signal dead zones. Ugh.

Life is a series of compromises. All these annoyances when we first get a new car start to fade after months though, as we just get used to them and adjust around them. It was the same way with the Mach-E (software bugs at first).
