The wireless CarPlay in my Macan 4 EV rarely connects, despite going through all the recommended fixes (like deleting the Bluetooth pairing, etc).
I finally gave up and got a wireless CarPlay adapter. I've used these things in the past in other cars, but generally found them buggy. This one works like a charm.

Hmmm, wireless CarPlay on my Macan 4S works all the time. By the time I get into the car and sit, the connection is already established. I have had no issues with it. Sometimes a factory reset fixes a lot of stubborn software problems. You should try it.
I am glad the adapter is working for you though. I am not familiar with that brand. I bought the Ottocast adapter for my daughter’s 2019 Honda Civic and she loves it!

I had lots of CarPlay problems that were solved by deleting the driver profile in the car and creating a new one. You can use the same name as before. When you pair your phone, make sure you only select the CarPlay function and not the phone or media player, those functions are included in CarPlay.

Thanks for that -- I'll give it a go!

Carplay suddenly stopped working with my iPhone 16b pro. It' fine with the wife's and the blokes at the local Porsche dealership's iPhones.

I'll have a go at deleting the driver profile as suggested (I've tried everything else). I might also try a backup and factory reset of the iphone if that doesn't work.

Good to know that the adapter works - I'd hoped to avoid the darn things in a modern car, but it'd be better than plugging the phone in every time.

Once I deleted the WiFi connection on the car (so it doesn’t connect to my home network), the connection has been rock solid. Never any issues with my iPhone.

And even for that problem, there’s a work around mentioned in another thread on how to connect the car to the guest network at home.
