towing is _NOT_ the issue - range while towing is the issue…this is pretty meaningless without range impact disclosures.

there is no question EV's can be great tow vehicles from a torque/power perspective, but range while towing take a dramatic (50%) hit - and fast charging while towing is a terrible experience since most sites do not have "pull through" designs

it's a major major PITA to tow with an EV.

Yep I've done my fair share of towing using MX and I can vouch for all the things you say!

A short run to the tip or to get some timber with a box trailer is great. Almost a pleasure.

Dragging stuff from Suffolk to Dorset (several hundred miles for those that aren't familiar with UK geography) or from Lincs to Suffolk, like I've done requires a certain 'recalibration' of all your EV habits and yeah range goes out the window, especially in the dead of winter.

My first choice for a towing EV would be a Rivian, but its going to be a while before we see those over here in RHD trim - and they will be massive (for our roads)

Audio e-tron would be a useful comparison for range impact as it's offered a towbar from day 1.

Agree that it won't be great and probably explains why Porsche has made it a challenge even to get a rear cycle carrier.

I just need it for at bike, or a short drive with a big trailer. Driving slowly with the trailer helps the range a lot

that would be interesting - I'm wondering if you'd lose on weight of the tow vs. the extra power being on tap - engineering to the rescue!!!

I'm curious of its overall Towing capabilities.
Same. I’m seeing a lot of electric EVs popping up that can nullify the range anxiety as the RV is self propelled. I’m wondering what this does for capacity, though.
The Pebble Flow electric RV weighs roughly 6500lbs, but with motors in the wheels, does that also theoretically make the camper “lighter”?
