CAR arrived at dealership, software update hold.

So my car has arrived at dealership and wil go to a detailer for ppf wrap. One interesting remark is that Updates are not pushed out for the moment, no details why or how long … but it means the time at the detailer is not really “lost”.
Hopefully a feature update that will be released soon.

I think even te dealership is not really in the know. Typically when there is a new release about to go out, they stop updating, why would you push out an ”obsolete“ update …

Porsche doesn't take the risk of successfully updating cars waiting to be delivered

I wonder if this is why the dealer is holding onto my car... i had it for a week then brought it in for a warranty issue. Seems like they don't want to give me the car back.

It's just crazy. They've had a lot of time since January, at the factory, in the parking lot, at the port and at the dealership to sort out all the problems and do tests, tests and tests.
We're more than 15 days after the official release, and there's no ETA for anything.
And now, with your car, it seems likely that they've decided to issue recalls on cars already delivered?
That's a shame for such a desirable car, IMO.

At my dealership they had to wait for ten days to get what they needed to update the software. Then few days to try to download. In my cars case it didn’t go through they troubleshooted with Porsche for approx a week and found out my car needed to have a controller replaced to solve the software update glitch which won’t be released from Germany till October 17!!!!! So car will be sitting at dealership for a while!!!
