Assistance Systems Error - Speed Limit Display (warning message)

Picked my Macan up yesterday and I have the same problem. The speed limit function switches off at exactly the same place on road, about 2.5km (as the crow flies from my house). It switches back on at the same place. To test a theory I drove away from my home in a different direction and again it turned off after 2.5km. Could this problem by related to a geo fence which has been set up in the tracking software.

Car has been with Porsche Garage for 4 days. They have done a reset and recalibration of the innodrive but the Assistance system error persist sporadically. They are waiting further instructions from Porsche Germany but they are now saying it is likely just to be a software issue which could be fixed with an update… Still waiting for more info. Now they can‘t release the car until Porsche Germany agree it is safe …..

All sorts of software issues with my Macan Turbo which I picked up a week ago. Problems started in the showroom and haven’t stopped. I can’t believe Porsche have rolled out another new software platform out with bugs as they launch a new car. The same happened to me when i got one of the first Taycans and i didnt believe they’d do it agin! It’s going back to Porsche on Nov 1st for a couple of weeks while im away to sort everything out, including Adaptive Cruise which works intermittently depending where in the country I am!

Yes, i agree and i must say i am really disappointed with Porsche releasing a car which obviously has softwares issues. You would imagine they would have tested this new model a long time before !

Mine is back at dealer. Blind spot monitor doesn’t work, lift not working right, lots of advanced safety warnings. They have tried everything they know how to do. Escalated to corporate. I’m afraid to let go of my old ice macan! They didn’t want me driving till safe also and gave me loaner. So, should we start a thread with problems based on how car configuration? Mine also has the info drive.

I have an update from Porsche Germany. Since they have my car for 7 days, they have apparently rewritten parts of the assistance system software and will upload / test it tomorrow. It’s likely to be an update for all other cars with the same problem

I had a couple of the errors messages where it said condition is temporary and driving is permitted and it happened on a construction zone where lanes normally confuses google map and then went away after I left the construction zone

Pfff . I was told the error message was fixed but it hasn’t !. I can see they’ve done a full system reset. Initially, I had no fault but about after 10 minutes driving everything is back again !!!!!! Don’t know what to do. I’m so disappointed

Just thought I’d drop this note in for some who are wanting to get some more detailed info on this problem.
Yes it’s Software-Based, not Hardware.
Sensor functions are not the issue, it’s the communication networking between all of the systems that is looking most likely.
It’s also down to the car thinking it’s in a different locale/GPS area in which Porsche do not provide assistance systems (can’t confirm exact location).
As the car runs Android Automotive OS, everything is compartmentalised, meaning the location error is only specific (at present) to the process that runs the assistance systems networking, not Navigation, Car Finder processes etc.
A Factory Reset (in the PCM) and re-attaching the MyPorsche Account will fix it for a short period (shutting off the vehicle and locking in between Reset and re-attaching). However will likely raise the issue again within 15 minutes or so once systems start coming back online and carrying out their checks.
IIRC VW had similar problems with the early software builds of their vehicles from 2020 onwards.
Can’t give any more than this at present, but will see if anything arises in the coming weeks.
Will be interesting to hear if anyone else has any more info following on from diagnosis of theirs at a local OPC.

I Steve, i left my car for nearly 2 weeks at the London West branch. They done a reset but all errors are back again after 15 minutes drive. I am so angry they didn’t fix this issue. How did you know about it ? Is there any update?

I hope you are getting compensations?! Same thing happening with mine. It's back to Porsche Nov 1st for over 2 weeks for them to sort so please keep us posted on any fixes / correspondence from Porsche and good luck.
