completing our last sgement for the night - 120 miles @ 6000 ft elevation - 37F outside - and our consumption is now 50.2 kWh/100 miles…wow!!

AC/heater is OFF - and those are the number's we're seeing 40 miles into this segment - we still have a 20% buffer to get to our next EA station - last charging stop for the night…

961 miles will have been done today! starting at 8:30 am Central timezone to what will be 01:21 am Cetnral time (12:21 am local time).

more charging stops than I would like - but we've completed our goal for today - and the car never set a foot wrong - and we rarley worried about speed!!

One question, though it has impact on the ride quality, did you try deep as setting on the air suspension? (I think it is called deep in English, or the lowest?) It could have an impact on consumption ...
we are on the "lowest" ride height - car seems to be picking that automatically - I've not been fussing with that…

I'm thinking elevation plays a factor here - I love reviews like Kyle does - but honestly they are fake - I'm doing a "real trip" here - driving from Atlanta to Santa Cruz, CA - nothing of this is fake, contrived - and represents the performance my car is achieving in the circumstances anyone and all customers would encounter to drive from Atlanta to Santa Cruz

you don't get to "null out" variables like head winds, elevation changes, weather, road condtions to achieve the 'best result' - you get the results you get…

Kyle's "loop" is more like a 'test track' - 50% is in one direction and the other 50% is in another direction - that counters elevation and head winds and shows what the car "can do" - but it does not show what the "will do" for any given trip - it's show what you might be able to expect for out and back point a to b to a…

what we're doing here is point a to b - and never retracing our steps…it's very very unlikely my car will ever go back to Atlanta on Hwy 40…possible, but highly unlikely.

what I'm doing is a classic road trip across 2500 miles of the United States…my Macan EV Trubo can go 240 miles on Hwy 40 west at road legal posted speed limits…unfortunately the charging stops are spaced such that while there is very little risk or "difficult' segements - you end up charging more than one would like because of how the segements get laid out between chargers…

and so far my Macan is a 230-240 miles vehicle if one is to head west on HWY 40 in late november…

and EA 350 kW stations remain a sh*t show just like the past 5 years with my Taycan - but the 150's so far have been rock solid!!

and plug&charge is so pleasant when it works!! that's a big upgrade.

No there is a lower position that you can select manually, the automatic low position is not that low ... anyway in Europe we have that option ...

7000 feet elevation now…maybe the efficiency is great for a 5000 lbs EV in 39F weather climbing at 75 mph (or quite a bit faster) - but it's not a 290 mile vehicle doing this…

No there is a lower position that you can select manually, the automatic low position is not that low ... anyway in Europe we have that option ...
I've checked the "manual" setting - it's already at the "lowest" setting…

34F now - 75 mph or quite a bit more - 6550 ft elevation - 49 miles to go - 20% buffer remains according to porsche navigation - 92 miles on the battery range on the center scope…HVAC is _OFF_ - using seat warmers - no fans/heaters/ac…just burst the HVAC system to defog the window - off again now.

I always wonder if bursting HVAC to defog windows actually uses the same power as keeping it on. I played with it on a few different trips and it seemed quite close. I ended up deciding just lowest possible fan speed and lowest relatively comfortable temp was fine for hypermiling.

I mean, a 6k climb in cold temperatures at those speeds is going to destroy efficiency. I did it often in both of my Taycans and the i4 for skiing and would hit mid 50 numbers on the way up, then get sub 10 on the way down. :CWL:

temperature variation on this segment so far has been 57f to 23f back now to 40F and bouncing between 5000 and 6800 ft…
