It’s really annoying! Please report to your dealership…
Already have done, I have a document that has a table of all faults/issues that I periodically send to the workshop manager who is the dealership ‘champion‘ for the Macan EV.
I did find out that even though there is no automatic change in the set value that with the with Speed limits selected in the menu pulling the cruise control lever towards you after a change in speed limit sets the cruise control to the new speed limit.

Just curious. I don't have InnoDrive but having HUD the supposed speed limit is visible in front of me at all times. And it's frequently wrong. Do you trust the accuracy of sign recognition enough to have it control your speed? (Maybe more accurate in UK? E.g. cannot read electronic speed limit signs near me at all*, and is frequently wrong on roadways/ramps that don't have speed limit signs posted.)

e.g. I93 north of Boston has electronic signs that typically read speed limit 65, minimum speed 45. The car reports 45.

You have 2 choices with InnoDrive to obey the signs and follow speed limits or not. The stated benefit of InnoDrive outside of following the speed limits on the signs is that it reads the terrain ahead of time and adjusts the speed strategy, such as it will slow down before bends or exit ramps. Most find it not very useful, however, you cannot get ALK without InnoDrive, that's the kicker, so you must know if you need very useful ALK you need to get InnoDrive, even though you may never use it.

Yes, and the mistake I now realize I made is that I would have liked to have had ALK, but had no interest in the other InnoDrive features.

Lane Keeping Assist including Emergency Stop function is a standard feature in the UK. With ACC or even with speed limiter, it works pretty well.
I prefer that combination as even if I go slightly over the speed limit I don't get an acoustic warning. I think InnoDrive is more restrictive if you go slightly over the speed limit.
I wanted to get InnoDrive, but the Porsche dealer advised me against it, and I'm now happy without it.

This is a very common confusion across all lines of Porsche Cars. Your only hope is if Porsche opens up FOD to purchase ALK as an OTA. Currently, FOD is still open on original Taycans 2022-2024 (confirmed to have done it), however, 2025 Taycan owners who missed getting InnoDrive from factory are in the same boat, want ALK for any money as FOD but cannot get it as FOD was never announced at launch to be available and anyone who assumed it will be a carry over was making incorrect assumption.

As I mentioned earlier, InnoDrive has an option to obey (up to 5 mph) or not obey speed limits, if you turn obey speed limits off then it follows what you set as the upper speed limit and then slows down if needed. Most find LKA as a lane bouncer which is its mode of operation, which is not a replacement for ALK that comes with InnoDrive only that actively steers the car in the center of the lane.

From my reading of the manuals, driving experience and faults/failures. In the UK my Macan 4 picks up speed limits from the mapping data and should do so from seeing signs but does not/not reliably see actual signs and does not see any other traffic signs at all (I have innodrive) and I doubt it would ever understand overhead variable speed limit gantry signs. I‘m comparing the current poor performance against my traded Audi Q8 55 Etron and my partners Skoda Enyaq (no errors or faults in 18+ month of. Ownership). The AAC speed setting does not adjust to speed limit changes (maybe because it does not see the signs).

I said today to my dealer that I am getting more and more frustrated with the Macan and the numerous faults…going back in this Friday (third time since start November) as now won’t charge properly other than directly…. No scheduled charging. I traded an 18month old Audi Q8 Etron that never had one error message or fault….. only one notification item on traffic sign recognition… when I drove down a private drive of nearly a mile the car couldn’t recognise the signs and ‘said’ so.

From what I’ve seen Porsche do not communicate well and it is not at all clear what to expect from or how to use features like Innodrive and they are not very good at testing their products in different markets.

On getting my Macan the plug and charge would not work because during initialisation of my Porsche credentials the certificate needed didn’t load. The car went back to the dealer due to assistance system failures. This involved a sequence of ‘reboot’ actions (these were defined by Porsche DE; going back to factory settings?). This did nothing for the assistance systems (needed a recent OTA update) but did allow the plug and charge certificate to upload. Now the function is active.
