Matrix headlights - program euro settings?

Any news regarding the possibility of reprogramming the matrix headlights to the euro settings? 9XX did it for the Taycan but their website still doesn’t list the electric Macan…

I’ve been looking into this too. I emailed 9xx but never heard back. I was looking into getting a PIWIS to look into it, but didn’t want to be the Guinea pig

I’m hoping someone posts a solution soon. There must be some bold Guinea pigs out there!
A reversal of the “light recall” is obviously doable with the right equipment and programming protocol. It’s just a matter of time before someone does it. It makes no sense as it is safer than the current US modality and has been used in Europe for years. I would definitely pay to get it set that way…

They have gotten around PVD to activate matrix on 25 Taycans.

Apparently something called VTester is required to allow login since PVD (Protection of Vehicle Diagnostic) is activated on all new Porsches. A work around is being worked on and I was told by someone on Rennlist that it should be available soon

i'd love this... there were a couple times while in traffic, I wasn't even sure if they lights were on.

If it makes you feel better, the number of times I’ve ever seen the matrix headlight function activate in my Macan is the grand total of zero. - Having said that, I’ve only done like 220kms in 3 weeks.

If it’s anything like our other cars, there’s quite a specific scenario for it to activate (read: hardly ever) in an urban environment - will only trigger if there are like NO surrounding street/highway lights - but when it does activate, it is pretty cool to see the lighting choreography

You’d think with the wide open spaces/unlit sections of highway in the US, NHTSA would be jumping on allowing this functionality (at a decent light output). I just wonder whether it’s just a case of the Codes haven’t caught up to the technology…

i'm 99% sure that functionality at the time stamp in that video, is not functional/disabled in the states version of the macan, or any vehicel with matrix headlights.

I can see the matrix functioning on my car, but to a much lesser extent. that appears to be happening with the high beams. US high beams just turn off if the car thinks there's another vehicle ahead

I think we just have limited functionality in the US. My Taycan has the HD Matrix and does as you mentioned. Auto high beams and it lights in the direction I’m turning as I can see the beams jump around left and right. Full matrix like the video would be cool. Rivian has it on their newer generations.

Some of the Audi Q8 owners have made the software conversion. Audi dealers won’t do it, at least not yet. This thread has some information on the topic.

Activating the full functionality of the matrix headlights is something I will do as soon as it’s possible. I paid for that option and the more strict US regulations make no sense to me. I believe driving at night is safer both for me and the upcoming traffic with full matrix functionality!

I had a guy that could do a lot of things like this for audi ecu's...worked as intended never an issue...i wonder if this guy can do it for porsche too

I’m interested so I emailed them to see if they’re will to do Porsches. They do VW’s as well. I’ll update when they respond.
