Is the Rivian charging network available for Macan owners?

I have recently used a new Rivian CCS charging station here in Durango, CO, with my 2025 Macan S electric. Just rolled up, tapped to pay on the station, plugged in and charged. Not sure why they can’t all be this simple!​

My understanding is that there are various “classes” of Rivian chargers and the Rivian Adventure chargers work with the Macan but there is another class that is only for Rivians.

Rivian have been enabling non-rivian charging across their network. I’ve used one station to charge, and it worked ok.

Their app/site shows which stations are available to others, but isn’t needed for charging (unless the credit card reader fails!)

There’s no manufacturer enablement needed unlike the Tesla confusion. Simply ‘Rivian Only’ or ‘Everyone’

Yes my spouse uses the Rivian site at the Kittery Maine outlets often. Smooth sailing.

some are and some are not - it depends…

I haven’t figured how to use the Rivian app for a non Rivian, however I was able charge at a Rivian station yesterday by simply using my phone and it worked fine.
