I would like to know what is the maximum charge value of the Macan EV in AC.

I am evaluating the installation of a new charger and I see that to reach 11kwh or 22kwh it is necessary to install a three-phase installation.
The installer asked me what the maximum AC charging power of the vehicle was and all I have found are references to 11kwh, but honestly I find it strange.

May you please help me with this?

So, what are your standard setups at home?
+ Two-phase AC with 7.2 chargers?
+ Three-phase AC with 11 or 22 chargers?

Anyone with two electric cars at home?
In that case how you do it?

In Italy: single phase - 7 kW 32A wall box (GEWISS)
97k km in 3 years (95% of charges are home charges), usually 2/300 kms daily trips with some longer run. Never had the need to change this setup. Now Tesla Superchargers (the ones I know but maybe Porsche users are used to Ionity) are open to all EV so if I should need a fast charge I know where to go (and I don't care if I have to pay more than what I pay now as a Tesla owner).

I'm going to get another EV for wife in the future (next year) and I'm going to add a dedicate line (3 phases - now the electric line is shared with home) and change the single phase Wallbox with 2 3-phases wallboxes

@work and home: Three-phase AC with 11 kw.
@home two cars sharing one 11 kw charger
@work: 2 chargers with 11 kw, 3 bev and one hybrid sharing.

in both cases connected with an photovoltaic system. @home 12 kwp, @work 170 kwp.

Cars that can be AC charged at 22kw are pretty rare. Internal charger becomes heavy and usually it's enough if you can do a full charge during night.

It depends on your house main fuse size if you can install multiple charging stations. If you want to always charge at the maximum speed then search models that support active load balancing feature.

As far as I know, to get a full 22 kW charger, you need a 380V 3-phase installation. 380V is usually only found in commercial buildings.
And 11 kW is enough for a home charger. In 8 hours, you can basically charge your battery fully (while you sleep). Also, you shouldn't charge your battery to 100% every day to protect it, so this time would be even shorter.

In Norway it seems like the VW, Audi and Porsches do not support 3-phase 230V – it’ll be limited to 1-phase only, even though your installation supports 3-phase when charging a Tesla... So on a 32A wallbox it’ll peak just above 7 kW. It’s a bit sad, but not a big issue for my daily city driving needs.

We have to wait and see since the PPE is a new platform and it could be totally different from previous MEB.

11kw is standard as noted - same across the line Taycan, Macan, Panamera/Cayenne Hybrid - 22kw is optional for gen1 Taycan but not yet for gen2 - so far to-date the 22 kW factory option is MIA from configurators for MY'2024 Porsche vehicles - I've not heard one way or the other if it will make a return as an option

there is some data that the 22 kW (and 19.2 kW option in North America) has been problematic - which may be a reason Porsche is not yet offering it on newer vehicles.

11 kW is the max charge rate for AC charging at this time.

19.2 kW charging is not an option on the North American configurator as of date/time of this posting for My'2025 Taycan's - just as a data point. But it _IS_ an option for the gen1 Taycan configurator on the North American website - so go figure.

The Problem ist the different situation in different Countries.
400V 3 phase 11 kW ist standard in germany and austria. i have no possibility to aquire a power connection für my house sufficient for 22 kw charging in austria. i think its the same in germany.

Until the arrival of my Macan 4S in December i own my Jaguar I-Pace (on of the first produced vehicles) which only charges one phase 7 kW (so this seems to be UK standard). Unfortunately one single phase ist limited to 20A / 3,6 kW in standard power connections in austria. so i have no possibility to charge 7 kW / 40A / 230V.

So für Austria and Germany 11 kW 3 Phase is the perfect solution.
On-board 22 kW charging increases the purchace price and the vehicle weight - and would be without benefit in our countries.

Maddoc68 explains it well. In UK 3 phase is really only available in commercial settings and the vast majority of homes are single phase so limited to 7kw which is the standard for home chargers. Not an issue as any car fully charges overnight which is when our cheap EV electricity rates are.
only issue is on a public AC charger where most are 7kw as well as cheaper to provide but I would always use DC if on a trip. Weight and cost of onboard 22 kw would be a real disadvantage. I used to ha e a home in France and single phase was born there as 3 phase suppply cost far more.
